Re: My Alpina respray colour, please VOTE!
Blue is awesome. Waaaaaaaay better thank Black, which is dull as doornails as common as muck. But it must stay Black. Why? It's not a 288GTO or an RS Carrera, it's an E30 worth maybe 10 grand finished. To paint it another standard 88/89 BMW colour would be a bit iffy. Doing it blue would make it th...

Re: Cruise Control socket missing...
All connectors are pretty straightforward. Clutch switch at clutch switch, Computer plugged in, Stalk connected properly, earthed properly - the last plug which goes to the provision panel does not fit anywhere there - I've read of others having this problem. I'll take some pix. The loom and stalk a...

Re: Proposed ban of 'older cars'
The energy, eco-impact and waste of building a new car outweighs the inefficiency of an older car's engine by over a 1000%.
As stated, it's a 'gift' to car manufacturers for the ever increasing burdens Governments place on them with emissions restrictions.
Fuck 'em.

Decals are readily available so not a problem. Personally i would only put the decals on the front spoiler ,i think the body ones are a bit OTT. The case for Blue is strong.
In light of all that maybe you could go Blue.
Have you got an original set of decals? Are they hard to get - that may be the defining point.

My cars are both Blue FYI.
Alpina would look far better with a nice grey leather. Black interiors are even more sheep-like.

If Simon paints it Blue fate did intend it to be Blue, thats what fate is 'an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future'! :D The beauty of fate or destiny is that it happens, it can't be stopped, if you believe in it of course! Having said that, when lying awake at night after a long day at work, you can look forward to many more hours of sleeplessness as you ponder the undeniable fact that on your dream car's V5, it says 'Black' and not Blue. You know you send the V5 back with the colour change clearly noted in the box w...

Re: My Alpina respray colour, please VOTE!
In retrospect, it is a bare metal re-spray, the car started life not as an Alpina but as a Diamond Black 325iSE and when the Alpina conversion was done the original owner could quite have easily spec'd a colour change too. So the Blue may not be so easy to dismiss after all - I expect the car will n...

Re: My Alpina respray colour, please VOTE!
It's this simple. Blue and Gold looks awesome - by far a better and rarer colour scheme - in that respect it's a very easy decision. BUT! The original colour was Black so that is why it must stay Black. That's what the V5 says and the factory will confirm. It's a curse - but it must stay original. B...
