Hi i ve approx find my water leak , it from the pass side rear sun roof drain , it leaking into the rear seat bases and floor well and also seems to leak on to the rear window self are first , any tips to see exactly where the problem is ? i think may be the pipe has a leak in it in the drop above t...

any quick tests i can do with removing seats and carpets to check where its getting in ?

Got two engs to build one lc , & one hc for LPG so looking at 11:1 for that one

what range of thickness out side the standard 1.75 or thicker 2.05 mm head gaskets can you get for 84mm m20 and from where ?
does any one do a 1 mm one ?
and is a 2.5 mm availible to ?

How much do std head gasket thick ness vary , ive measued a few and average seems to be 1.7 to 1.8 mm

i have proved the loom and its ok and the fault is inside the 172 ECU somewhere , but have managed to put a chassis earth on it as discussed and at least it now starts ok
may be a new fault for your records
so i best look for a 2nd hand ecu next

i will try it tommorrow it may do as a temp fix (it runs on lpg most of the time and the lpg solenoid when open disable the fuel pump via a secondary relay , but thats working ok ,
i will look in side the ecu later

Yep , but be ware e30 s have 6 bolt or 8 bolt rear end diffs as long as its like for like no problem

Comma stuff is ok buy 5 l itres and a new auto box filter too , and remember that draining the oil will still leave drity oil in the torque convertor , ideally u need to drain it top it up and run it for 5 minutes in all gears then drain and refill again to to the job right , this can make your box ...

been tring to a supplier for up rated big end bolts ,, ie go away fron the std stretch their m9 x1.25 pitch , (i ve got a box of 12.9 (aka metric blue . main bearings bolts sorted , )
but now need the big ends to build up the block,

Yep it will work , i m running a 2.7 litre on a 320 auto box , but i did fit the much igger torque convertor of the 325/ 327 as i believe the torque of the larger engine wil soon srew up the smaller one t(here a big diefference in size ) i believe thery are all HP22 boxs differences to look for are ...
