Replacing horseshoe mechanism

Hi all I managed to shear the mechanism which raises the horseshoe and latches it down from the motor drive. I’ve unlatched the motor and can see the splines are all in tact. I’ve ordered a replacement crank (the part which attaches to the motor inside the horseshoe box) but can’t see from realOEM h...

M-Tech 2 front valance and bumper removal

Morning all I've managed to push an indicator housing through into the recess behind the bumper so need it to come off. The wiki guides all cover fitting the valance but none about how to take it off. Can anyone provide a step-by-step and can I do it without breaking clips and without a ramp? Many t...

Original rocker cover and intake manifold finish

I have done much searching on this topic and not really found an answer. Has anyone achieved a factory look for the rocker cover and intake manifold? I wish to keep the car as original as possible and was considering sand blasting or similar but have no idea what the finish would be? All help apprec...

Sourcing an OEM exhaust (straight cut pipes)

I have searched the forum and have not found a place where I can buy an OEM 3 piece backbox for a facelifted Motorsport.

All BMW/ECP/GSF etc parts seem to show angled tailpipes.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Hi Brett, very well thanks. Yes I still have yours, in fact I've recently got it out of the garage and had it prepared for the road once again. I've had a Chimaera as a summer car recently and whilst it was fun the E30 has something special which a TVR will never have for me, so its up for sale! I'm...

Absolutely mate, I will never be able to sell it, it's a lifetime car. Long term plan is full resto a la Simon13 and others. For now though just want it back on the road? Are you back in the world of e30 ownership?

Putting my Motorsport back on the road, few queries

So, after 3 summers in a Carcoon, I'm finally intending to get my Motorsport back on the road! I have been absent from the zone for quite a while (the z4 forums are not a patch on this) and have a few questions in anticipation of getting her ready; 1. After a new and slightly rebuilt engine in 2007,...

Would love to see it some day!

Thanks Dave, can you explain how? The loop in one end of the rod presumably does something and I'm not sure what/which way around it should be!

Any thoughts appreciated!

perhaps, but an easy way of avoiding this hassle for others would be just to avoid them. I've had hassle free parts from other breakers and so will know never to use Midland again, was just hoping to help others avoid making the same mistake.

WARNING! DO NOT USE MIDLAND BM

This is a warning to all zoners, do not go near Midland BM. They have taken me for a ride and are now only offering a refund of the price I paid for parts that were 'lost' in the post. They have made no attempt to compensate me for all the calls I had to make after they repeatedly failed to call me ...

Headlight part numbers please

I need to fit manual adjusters to my lights as they are pointing, and wobbling, all over the place. I understand I need the adjusters and some other parts (the clips on the end I think) to prevent them wobbling.

Can anyone help as I can't figure it out from online ETK?

Thanks
