Re: Valuation?
if youve not touched it in a year then its less worth doing now than it was originally. its not likely youll get around to it either. if you really loved it youd have let it go by now into the arms of someone who'll really care. :D To be fair, that is only due to cost! I had hoped to be in a positi...

Re: Valuation?
Hate to necro an old thread but its been a year and my poor car is still sat on the driveway - its been SORN for a year now - worth me sorting the prop shaft, taxing, MOT'ing and getting her running again or selling as is? Any ideas on what I would be looking at price wise for either sorting her out...

Re: Valuation?
Yup taxed and MOT'ed - tax runs until end of December and MOT I would have to check - mileage is around the 113,000 mark (will double check that too). I recently bought a Yaris so my bm has been sat on the driveway for the last month or so :( I believe the rust on the wing is simply surface rust whe...

Valuation?
Well having said I didn't want to sell my E30, it would appear that as much as I will regret it, I think I need to - I would rather she go to someone who can enjoy it rather than rust on my driveway. Realistically it will be years before I can afford to sort her out properly so I was wondering if I ...

Is Barnstaple too far for you to travel? There is a chap who did some bodywork, fixing dents, rust and some respraying on my E30 last summer and comes highly recommended! (would just have to dig out his details for you)

I've used my E30 as a daily driver for the last 4 years but the time has come to have a cheap run around as I can no longer afford my hefty fuel (and garage!) bills :( I don't have the heart to scrap or sell so will be SORN-ing her and finding somewhere to store her for the next couple of years henc...

Re: is there anyone who can fit chip to a double board ecu??
I had the same issue - had a 164 double board, it drove me POTTY trying to figure out why it wasn't working and how to separate the top from bottom, wasted a lot of time being confused before realising it was me being a bit special  My solution was to buy a second hand single board from the pa...

Re: Quick coolant question!
The correct coolant level is the seam in the tank, half way up, but a lot of E30s will insist on maintaining the level about 1/2" lower, so don't be paranoid about maintaining exactly on the seam. Just start worrying if the level keeps on going down and down! A poor connection at the switch plug wi...

Re: Quick coolant question!
Thank you to everyone for helping out a damsel in distress! :o: I checked the levels and they seemed already quite high, perfectly visible and so I played it safe by topping it up with the tinest amount of water - more of a token gesture really. The lights hasn't come back on since so I am guessing ...

Re: Vomit and cloth seats :(
Thank you all for the suggestions! I had a look at detailingworld and followed some of the advice there, along the same lines as the advice since given here. The biggest problem was that the vomit went down and into the passenger seat side trim where you lift the seat up - I took off the trim and ga...

It certainly will be! I looked at getting a new one as my rubber is cracking (although the colour is ok) - Cotswolds quoted around the £100 mark as it has to come from Germanyjaymos wrote:i think it may be cheaper to buy a new spoiler lol, suppose i might try some of the tips on here first

Any car the fails the MOT is probably seriously dangerous. It's so very difficult to actual fail. Play in a bearing is not sufficient. Has to be EXCESSIVE http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m3i00000101.htm If you're interested LOL I had excessive corrosion and excessive movement last week - second ti...

just had my first MOT failure in the E30. Not best pleased when I recently spent £700 on bodywork an...
