I will be going in a red E30 M3, I will try to say hello if I see any of you.

It has been a last minute choice to go with some friends who have non-e30's so will be getting a ticket on the day.

I'll be trying to head up for this tomorrow It has been a while since I have been, but is always good. I was going to go in a non E30 but I broke that at the weekend, so the trusty steed will get an outing.

Doesn't sound like an immobiliser/alarm issue to me, very odd symptoms if it is. To easy to blame the immobiliser if it don't start. I would guess there is a broken/corroded wire/contact somewhere. It was a really good meet, with a real mix of stuff. I guess it will be even bigger and better with better weather in the summer, and would recomend it to anyone. thanks for the input, Kent transmissions seem to be the way to go. 350 quid to rebuild with uprated bearings etc which seams a good idea as it is going back in the track car
