so what happens when you turn them on off frequently? Do they overheat or something. Lots of new cars have bi xenon headlamps. As an aside, is there any advantage to fitting them to foglamps as well? Still only two xenon bulbs with BiXenon. BiXenon headlamps use an electromagnetic shutter arrangeme...

I'd go for it. The W129 Mercedes SL is at an all time low at the moment. It won't have any depreciation left in it as long as it's looked after properly. Blimey, I remember that reg - A10 VAU - from years back. It was on a modded E36 and took pride of place on the front of Performance BMW. I still have the mag somewhere.
Sorry, haven't seen the E30.

My rusting silver Ac snitchzer is 10 times the car that e36 is.
(Only kidding)
A clean and original E36 is a great looking and rare thing nowadays. Price looks a tad high though, but where will you find another with that mileage? Rather have a loaded 530i Sport on an X plate though.

With the existing set up both switches are closed when the gas pressure is within the high and low limits, so with your switch out of the box, un-plumbed, one of the switches should be open circuit - that should identify the low pressure switch. The remaining two wires are for the high pressure swit...

I'm fairly certain it was fuse 21, in the main fuse box. If both bulbs ore okay, I would definately go for the fuse. I say that because when it happened to me I was all ready to pull the dash apart to get to the OBC, and for once in my life I thought No...I'll check the obvious first and I was lucky...

You could test for continuity and hence intact filaments on the old light bar, if you have a multitester with a continuity function.
I thought the bulbs had blown on mine recently, but it turned out to be one of the fuses.

Is it possible fuse 10 or its terminals are corroded, leading to a high in line resistance? I only mention it as I had a simultaneous failure of indicators/windows in my Merc recently. A visual inspection of the fuse gave the impression it was okay. Upon removing the fuse the thin strip of metal had...
