There's also a clip of a near-miss but for some reason the last two seconds of the clip seem to have been chopped off - sometimes it plays it, sometimes it skips it.

Thanks for all the advice guys - it seems the problem was a loose spark plug lead
Will keep an eye on it anyway.

325 down on power, smells of fuel and the exhaust now pops??
Will be grateful for a few pointers of what might be wrong with my 325. The only symptoms I've noticed are a lack of power, a whiff of petrol and the odd backfire/pop from the exhaust so it seems to be running rich.
Not really sure where to start!

Out of interest: those that are looking to get a big brake kit, what's your motivation for doing so? Re: Castle Combe 5th September
Had a really good day, I drove 3 sessions and a mate drove 1. Went to do a 5th session but got a clunk-clunk going down the pitlane so we bottled it and went to investigate. Apart from a bit of play in a top mount it seemed fine - didn't hear the clunk again, but we flogged our remaining passes and ...

I'll be there in this:

On track at 9.30, 1.30 and 3 iirc, and then possibly some more later in the day (and may be letting some mates have a go...gulp)

One of mine collapsed at Cadwell last year, should have paid more attention to increasingly loud rumbling noise
I had two new ones fitted, they were possible from GSF, someone recommended them, can't remember what brand they were but it was a funny name? £50 each iirc

Re: E30s.... better than modern cars? (except newer BMWs?)
My old Mk1 MX5 'felt' better than my E30. I agree with the sentiment that a lot of modern cars are overweight, dull and devoid of much feel, but there are plenty out there that still have the magic.

Ah the joys of model-specific forums  Yes, 20+ yr old E30s are miles better than anything else on the road  I'm not biased at all and whilst I enjoy my E30 I'm fully aware that there are many, many newer cars that are fantastic, and some are better than an E30 in pretty much every way. Sorry - I didn't explain myself very wheel! If jacked up an open diff will spin one wheel the other way, whereas an lsd will spin both the same way. Years ago I was minding my own business driving steadily when an MR2 came steaming up behind. The traffic ahead cleared and I booted it. I drove like I had something to prove. I drove like an arse, so did the MR2 driver. I was taking blind bends at 90 in a 4 wheel drift - utterly stupid. Anyway, thi...
