Re: In-car heater fan query...
I managed to get a resistor kindly from Ady (Pompey) and fitted that but it's exactly the same? It was located under the fan motor but accessed it by taking glove box out and up above the centre console. So now the resistor has been changed, anything else it could be?

Re: In-car heater fan query...
All done Brian, and to my surprise it only works on setting number 4!
I've heard of resistors to be changed to fix this fault, I don't suppose you know of any links or expertees yourself to fix this? Top bloke so far by the way!

Re: Did anybody clock this ebay Item....
Started work on it today, clutch master cylinder replaced as it was knackered, just need to bleed it now and in the meantime change the wheels and the o/s droplink 'U' clamp as it's broken. Changed the mirrors to standard ones to confirm they fit which they do, just require a lick of paint. Also rem...

Re: Did anybody clock this ebay Item....
Yh the only things he didnt say about was both rear Tyres need replacing (as most e30s do!) which I have 2 spare to fit, and the rear towing eye is non-existing (which is fine as I have a scrapper here I can chop up and weld in). Oh the engine noise is an exhaust blow on the downpipe (how he thought...

Well it was me that won the bid and I went to see it last night. Seemed a very honest guy but I would have classed it as 'item not as described' and he wouldn't budge on the price so im giving him an answer this evening as it needs more work than stated (as always) Thinking of making a track car out...

Why.....
when i rev my e30 up to around 6000rpm (for example) and then let off the throttle with the car still in gear, the car seems to intermittently 'run on' and off and the needle on the mpg gauge drops down to around 30mpg on and off (in situ)? the car will kangaroo when this happens but only very sligh...

What an awesome bloke you are! Im going to call it a day today but going to tackle it tomorrow morning. Yes i can confirm it is the correct fuel pump relay. Just put the wire between pin 30 and 87, then put the bulb between fuse 11 and earth and the bulb lit up?!

Re: M20B25 No fuel coming through....
Ok, so just to confirm i have now bridged pin 30 and 87 with a wire on the fuel pump relay (middle relay of the 3) and put a bulb across the 2 pin connector that plugs onto the fuel pump and the bulb DOES NOT light up.
Where to go from here?

Get you hands on a multimeter, remove the large plug from the ECU, and measure the resistance between pins 47 and 48. You should read around 550 ohms. Just done this Will and theres no Ohms between pins 47+48. Just to confirm i shud be checking the resistance between the pins on the plug for the EC...

Just a quick one, I'm getting no voltage to the fuel pump when turning the car over. I've read my manual and it says to bridge 2 connections in the port where the fuel pump relay lives. I've done that and I've tested that the pump is working as it should, and it is. So I've tested if there's voltage...

Re: Quick diff question
Are you sure its an E30 diff your trying to fit? I'm not 100% mate, this is the problem. The bloke I bought it from fitted the engine along with the gearbox, and as part of the deal when he bought the engine, he got given a diff aswell. Could it be possible that my touring is running a 2.5 motor an...
