aceraf, i unscrewed the two screws but i couldnt take the back cover off, so I just took the whole seat out and took the two side covers off the mechanism. The cable has somehow come out of the pin it is attached to, so ive just ordered 2 new cables from bmw (£3 each). I now need to know how to take...

the black leaver on da seat goes up and down but da back rest doesnt go forward.

no i havnt taken da seat out yet, i guess thats what i will have to do.

My cabriolet passenger seat mechanism to make the back go forward so people can sit in the back doesnt work. It seems as if its jammed or something has snapped not allowing it to go forward. Does anyone know what the problem would be and where can i go to get it fixed (including prices).

any zoners goin 2 b der? worth goin down?

I tried to start the car yesterday after buying myself a new starter motor, and it started straight away. Im not sure whether I should replace it with the new one or just leave the old one in as it has started to work again. I havnt drivin the car, just incase i drive somewhere, park it up and then ...

this might be a stupid question, buts whats the difference between m20 and m40 engine?
only askin as i am goin 2 buy a new starter motor and they asked me which engine i have.

I have an 93 325i convertible, just need to know wat engine type it is (M20, M40, M50).

need to order myself a new starter motor but not sure with the engine type.

it wasnt a flat battery, its a solenoid problem, so hopefully get it sorted tomorrow or just buy a new starter motor.

The car has started straight away in worse conditions wen i thort it wudnt have. my brother mentioned it maybe the solenoid.

I guess i will have to try 2 jump start it or even try cleanin up the solenoid.

Keep up updated, if i cnt resolve the problem.
