Hi, don't know if he is a zoner but a Sam Assaf from Kent owes me money for parts received from my cabby i'm breaking, after lots of empty promises and down right lies he now doesn't answer my calls or texts at all. I know i've lost my cash but i don't want anyone else being stung by this so and so....

Cheers for the replies, sorry yes needed to know which of the metal pipes coming up from under the bulkhead was the feed, having the smallest garage i know of i can't get access to the passenger side and can't push it out onto the drive because the g/f's motor is against the garage door and she's ou...

Which fuel pipe is the feed?
Tried the search function and realoem but can't work out which is which. Its was a m20 325 but a m50 has taken its place. I know the return has to go to the regulator but that still doesn't help me.

Sorry Will, i confused myself looking at various wiring diagrams and the wiring for the number 12 bit, i have a couple of larger brown cables with a orange tracer, do these go + or ground? Writing this i've just realised what a idiot i've been, i thought the fuse box feed cables were something to do...

Thanks Brian but the original loom went with the engine may moons ago, can the smaller of the alternator cables be connected onto the pin 12 joint i've made at the main plug??? sorry for all the questions but i'm struggling with this

Afternoon all, still having a mare with the wiring
, have removed the original alternator wiring from the fuse box, i have found the smaller of the 2 cables goes through the fusebox and what seems to the the abs unit, do i need to reconnect this to somewhere? hhheeeeeellllllppppp!!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to sort my wiring out and have the wiring for alternator on the m50 loom and also the original still there, which do i use or do i have to use a cable from each?

Thanks for the replies, i'll have another look but i think it is still too close, i'll take a picture later, there only seems to be 10mm between heater box pipe and inlet unless i'm missing something.

Evening all, have bolted my m50 in, made up my manifolds, fitted danthe's steering linkage but have come to a stop fitting the top heater hose, the matrix pipe comes up out of the bulkhead and nearly touches the inlet manifold, do i have to bend this down, or cut it to give me clearance. Just turned 37 today and on my second e30, always wanted an e30 when growing up but could only afford mk2 escorts, mk1 astras and any other piece of rusty junk. Looking and getting a third if something i fancy turns up.

Ok cheers, thought it may be a common problem on the conversion, will have to have a look at different hoses. Sorry to be a pain but did your exhaust manifolds look like mine before fettling?

Cheers Rob, they look spot on, was waiting to see if the o/p put up a price for the work. Beemerlad, the engine and box are bolted up properly, looks as though the top tube is angled up into the inlet manifold and if i got the hose on it would kink, what did you do on your m50? re read your posts bu...

Evening all, was tinkering today and went to fit my heater hoses, bottom one fits fine but the inlet manifold obstructs the top one, anyone else have this problem and what did they do to get round it? can i just bend it down or is it a bit more complicated?

Had another little look at the wiring , do i use the alternator cables from the e30 that go straight to the fuse box or use the m50 ones that are built into the engine loom?

A little update, bolted the is box to the lump with a new clutch kit put in courtesy of a zoner, and then dropped the lot in, life was made a lot easier by having a lorry jack under the back that lifted the car easily 3-4 ft up and then sliding the lot in. Have the lovely job of sorting the exhaust ...

I removed my vinyl, it was painted the same colour as the car underneath, was a pain in the ass to get all the glue off though

You might find that the dealers may make you buy a full bag of each clip types. I went to buy some clips for the trim that runs along the top of the cill on a cabby and i had to buy a full bag of 25 pieces and only wanted three! This was the case when i bought the clips for a tech 2 kit too Let me ...

Thinking of doing this with my cab,i believe there are a few fab mods to do for the battery tray. Was going to use an E36 cable as i believe it`s a bit tight with the E30 one and the E36 one is a bit longer Was it you willnz that put up a guide of how to do the tray? Couldnt find it. Hi all,
Trying to fit a relocation kit in my cabby for my m50 conversion, have got all the boot end sorted but having trouble seeing where i can pull it through the bulkhead without having to drill a new hole, anybody got any photos of theirs would be a great help.
