Rear wash wipe stuck 'on'

Only way to stop it is take the fuse out.

It starts soon as I go to position 2 without starting the car.

Just like TECH 2 kits on non Sport E30's, it's very annoying.

Any ideas?

Shit, you could BUY a whole de-chromed E30 for £150 and rob that!

Anything but the dreaded home de-chrome.

Don't do it.

Re: Shadowline? Ouch!

can anything be done to stop it flaking as I saw a sport not too long ago which looked like a bag of sh*t because bits of the trim were chrome and some black as it had flaked off badly 100% guaranteed to flake off. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but it will, no matter how well prepped and keye...

Cool.

Kinda weird that they have panels or grills to keep major muck / stones out
but the top one is left wide open.

Cheers.

Air Con front valance...

Has two slats for air flow intake.

The bottom has the usual plastic blanking plate which you can swap for the oil cooler grill.

And the top one should be left open?

UK plates are some of the nicest looking plates out there.

I can send you one if you don't have one. They're worth nothing and available from BMW or eBay for pence.

Good luck cutting a neat square out of that console foam shite - better off seeing if you can find a console that was cut for 4 x power windows in the first place.

Re: Improving the ABS

The more modern the car, the more the various electronic modules talk to each other! All sorts of weird (and largely totaly unnecessary) interconnections on modern cars! Very true. Modern system also cut revs via the engine ECU so maybe the E36 was the last system viable before it got really compli...

Re: Tires!

Went with Pirelli P6000's in the end. The guy I use has almost no 205/55/15's in stock by decent brands. He said they're hardly made anymore and Michelin will list that size as a 'classic/collector' tyre from next year. Continental and Pirelli also have lead times of 4-6 weeks if out of stock at the...

Re: Improving the ABS

E36 ABS retro-fit is a good idea. I can't see why it would be an issue.

Unless the E36 braking system is somehow also governed not just by it's own ECU/sensors but also affected by input from the engine ECU?

Re: Rear Wiper/wash on Touring

Fuses are in the blue fuse-box in the engine bay. Behind the passenger suspension turret.

I don't think it uses it's own relay, if it does it'll be shared with other equipment which would also be affected.

Re: Improving the ABS

As for who supplied the shells and engines - BMW Motorsport. In 1989 a car kit (they were not supplied as fully built up cars from BMW) cost around £150'000. BMW M'sport even developed their own racing ABS system. They pulled out of DTM at the right time just as costs were going mental (Formula 1...

Did you connect them up to the main loom at the B-Pillar?:D

Do the rear switches light up?

Check the child cut-off switch isn't in top left of your console.

Also try swapping the switches with the one's from the fronts.

You might also like to try engine and gearbox mounts - apparently these make a huge difference and are cheap and easy.
Try and borrow a working ECU and try that too.
