hello chaps bit of help needed, currently working on a 24 valve conversion, im using a e34 m50 2.5, car has manual gearbox can i keep the existing gearbox that comes with the m50 engine ? ie: e34 engine and box in my e30 ?? if i can use e34 box what prop shaft and diff can be used to be the correct ...

plug straight in even with the dizzy cap being run thru the old loom,

EVENING
any tips on loom work when changing an early m20 2litre to a later non dizzy engine,
obviously there will be some little wiring issues, any help on this would be great

i presume its a prop diff thing,from the sound,
would rear brake shoes cause a rumble ?

the car has rear drums,
the guibo doughnut could be perished a bit as car hads been standing for a while, and check bearing between front a rear parts of the prop ?
or centre diff bearing ?

i got a really sweet chromie last week, loads of dealer history,macahnincally spot on i actually know know after years of owning e30s what the m20 engine is meant to sound like, a silky smooth almost silent engine with a low gurgle from the tail pipe, rather than a skeleton having a w**K in a biscui...

aside from that they will fit, i started with a exhuast i had from a 86 325I coupe as a doner, wouldnt fit, this a 3 peice, you have manifold, centre pipe and box, the rear section is in 2 parts, the cabby exhuast had manifold, mid section and box, then rear section and silencer as a one piece .. th...

is a cabby (1991 but metal bumper) exhaust different from a saloon-touring-coupe ?
doing a bit of a swap over ..
long story..
but dont want to take exhaust from my touring if it wont fit on my cabby

got a set of 4 of these wheel, 15" with a deep dish, mybe 1.5" or 2" they are geniune bmw e30 rims, im led to believe they where an option on late cabriolets, was going to sell them, but not sure what to price them at due to them being a bit rare and unpoplular, any info on these would be greatly re...

i was a bit of a joke, i dont like the mtech1 kit on anything other than series 1 sport, it does look wrong on a cabrio, mtech 2 is far nicer, all round, ill prob just keep it standard and tidy, will need some bumpers as these are a tad rusty, apart that it was a bargin at £750 with years mot, i jus...

ok im asking again, as i cant see how the previous answer of just unbolts can be correct, is it straight forward to change the front valance+bumpers from a pre face lift, to a facelift set up, just got a preface lift cabrio, but prefer the facelift valance + bumpers, have a donor valance in correct ...

cabriolet alloys

got a set of deep(ish) dish alloys,
geniune bmw fit rims..
i believe they where an option on late cabriolets
5 spoke 15" with an approx 2" dish..
only ever seen 1 other set,
anybody shed any light on these, as im prob going to swap them for some 15" bbs, i have ,and flog em,
are they worth anything ?

i want to change the front valance from a pre facelift chromey to a facelift ,
is the valance simply held on with spot welds ?
so it will be just drill out welds and reweld in new valance ?
