Unfair Hartge IMO 1) same cars ie BMW's yes but hey it's the BMW Festival 2) Same venue - please supply alternatives which offer equal or better than Gaydon in terms of facilities, hard standing, capable of the numbers, accessibility etc 3) I had not been round museum for a few years and it was cert...

Re: Concours - old hat??

Best place to start is prepare the car to what you think is your best, then enter, speak to other competitors, look at others cars, listen to the judges - even ask them questions after the event and then consider how far you want to go whilst still enjoying the whole experience. I do believe, but no...

Barry, they will do just fine :D Kos, you make some very good points, again. Sometimes, my role involves playing devils advocate, and putting things forward which 'others' have raised and seeing the varying responses. Thanks for the comments. To try and answer some 1) no originality points considered in Pride of Ownership class - deliberately to entice those with modified cars without penalty. 2) Pride of Ownership is not as dare I say 'anal' as Master / Elite so those that enter generally do run their cars even ...

Did any of you enter concours at Gaydon or still busy cleaning?? For those that went & those interested that did not, the runner up in Master Class had a very 'individualised' M5 It had original parts but many had been powder-coated. They were mint clean so got top points for cleanliness BUT dropped...

What are values of truely 'MINT' Sports ???

Following on from the thread re Sport Wanted and the various comments about values and note some mention that 'mint' ones are in excess of £10k. What do you believe would be a realistic value on low mileage, few owner Sports with full SH etc and proper MINT. The last I knew which WLN had for sale wa...

Mint Sport's are out there but very few & far between. Most low milers, few owners, full SH ones are now owned by bmw enthusiasts / collectors as invertments so will be unlikely to be seen very often other than perhaps a few shows. There will always be an odd one someone ownes or inherits that may c...
