Here is the thing you need guys. I just did the same thing and it came with no wires. I bought from this guy arrived no problem in less than a week.

Re: What to do when swapping suspension
100% change the top mounts. But if it ain't broke leave it alone. You could replace a lot of things while 'you've got it in bits' but that takes away the 'fun' of working on it another weekend.

Re: Towing Eye Bolt
When I fitted a tow strap I cut a thin slit under the black trim inline with the bolt hole that holds the bumper to the car, and ran the strap through the slit, and the eye of the strap through the bumper bolt. Bit of a faff to get it in place.

Re: Refreshing & Painting Engine Bay Bit's N' Bob's
I would be inclined to rub the airbox with an oily rag, normally brings back the correct colour.
To get a good finish on the intake it would either need to be soda/bead blasted and or painted to get it a nice factory silver again.

Re: Fuel Pump wont fit
Looks like the right part They are all the same length. As Gus says, bit of a knack, have to rotate the pump as you put it in.
Or. Has the bottom of the fuel tank been pushed up slightly by someone jacking the car in the wrong place?

Glad you got it sorted Steve.
What is different about touring rear brake setup?
Removing the standard rear brake bias valve and plumbing it to somewhere/something controllable within arms reach was on my list...... Be interested in what you used to achieve it.

Re: brake problems
Steve. Pretty sure the bar that links the pedal to the booster has one type of thread on one end and the reverse on the other. SO just just undo the nut near the clutch pedal and spin the bar and that changes the adjustment.
I hope that makes sense.

Re: S50 track car / Touring not so track car
I've managed to get 4 or 5 hours work in on the car almost every day this week. Unfortunately I'm apparently now useless at taking pictures. Fitted the new Spal Fan and swapped over the wiring from the old unit. I'd refitted the oil cooler and before tightening the lines to the oil filter housing, f...

You are trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist, there is nothing wrong with a front bowel sump Glad you've said that Dan. You've obviously run the S54 like that on track without problems, and presumably the M52 aswell? It was a 'problem' I had read about, and considered in the past. Good to kno...

Interesting. I didn't know the late model cars came with a drivers air bag.
An interesting use for this wire, it can be attached to car stereos that adjust the volume based on speed.

Instrument cluster - what is this blue wire
Went to swap over the instrument clusters yesterday. But the new Touring which is a K plate has this blue wire connected to this green connector on the back of the cluster. Not seen this green part before. Does anyone know what this Blue wire is for? Car has no OBC or cruise control. IMG_5412.PNG

Re: S50 track car / Touring not so track car
It was definitely on my 'wanted to do' list of things, as I remember this job being an utter c***, but my mate came over today to help out and he was convinced it wasn't that hard, so, they were duly removed. As I'd remembered, it was the refitting that is the terrible part of this job. While this w...

Re: S50 track car / Touring not so track car
Another long day of it today. Removed the front struts from the touring. Refitted the front subframe to the touring and ...

Thursday was spent removing the front subframes from both cars. IMG_5355.PNG While I had it back off the car, I decided to give it a bit of tlc. I had one very similar a few years back and it was great but the batteries were its downfall. One died within a month, the other lasted about 6 months and that was it. It is going to be a S50 touring :D I might keep the gaz, for those 'blue moon' track days. Duly noted on the ABS location, probably best to buy one then, and see where it fits as close as...

For what reason do you not want to swap the engine?
Swapping over to the 325 engine would be the cheapest, quickest, simplest way of getting more power.
