I proceeded to drive slowly to a nearby lane and await rec...

Could this be my idle valve on its way out ore something else? Sometimes I have to sit there with the foot on the g...

If I lift my foot off quick enough then the light goes out, but if lifted gradually then the brake light stays on... Any ideas? Does it mean I have a sticky brake switch? If so where is it? And how easy...

Re: 325i idle valve
Thanks Brianmooore,
Where would the throttle position switch be, and how would I know that it's behaving correctly?
To clean the idle valve, is it as simple as disconnecting and soaking it in carb cleaner for a few hours?
Thanks, tripper
