Re: Track day car tyre and coilovers advice please?
I've got adjuatable ledas all round coil over at the back, m3 ofset top mounts and offset bottom suspension arms these or some other type of increased camber and caster are key for handling. with 888s in the dry grown men whimper when you load it up on the corners the only things that will get you o...

hi Guys I'd be interested in taking my 325 to Bedford especially if some other E30s are going to be there, it will be its first run for 3 years. The crankshaft damper disintegrated 3 years ago at Bedford and the cars sat still ever since, it's now in the process of being re born as a 2.8 I live 7 mil...

I think class c kumho seems ok, 185 hp per tonne is doable with an m20 2.8 I'd have thought, are the e36 cars heavier than an e30? As an aside I was at silverstone AMOC meeting a few weeks ago and there were a couple of very very fast DB5 s when I looked at them they were running coil packs and a cr...

Re: Trackway/ race disc brakes
Hmm from experience the brakes on my car aren't yet the limiting factor, I am in the process of building a 2.8 stroker which I'm looking for 205 hp but more importantly much more torque, I think I'll see how I get on, I already have small bore steel braid pipes and brake cooling ducts on the struts ...

Trackway/ race disc brakes
Hi all, I've got EBC rotors and green stuff pads on my track car, question is do other racers ie PBMW run these and if so have they ever run out of brakes( ie not been able to lock up the fronts?) I have found them to be good on the track days I have done but without being able to run up against ano...

meant to say the other graph was done just after I replaced the cam ( i also had the head flowed). on a hub dyno to check the cam timing on the vernier pulley before it went to Aldon for the re map This is interesting to prove 2 things 1 cam timing made 4 hp 2 I've got piper cross filter socks on th...

Re: Dyno graphs for. ITbs on a 2.5 M20
This shows how much effect cams have on torque The Aldon graph showing 197 est hp at the top shows just over 85 ft lbs at 3k rpm, 120 ft lbs at 4k this was the best map after a day having the eber Alpha ECU mapped The same RR At Aldon with the 285 CATCam in shows 130 ft lbs at 3k rpm and approx 148 ...

Yup I've got the HC ones I measured them against the engine wiki measurements and they are correct I've had an email back from a guy with 2 litre rods and I've got a crank sorted so its a goer! Re: m20 stroker Ireland eng kit or DIY?
I should clarify that this car is a track machine only, it has no V5 and was built from parts for the kumho series. (Not by me) Saying that I prefer mid range torque to top end power, as I have found that in damp conditions and ESP with inexperienced mates driving its very easy to spin an E30 with h...

Re: m20 stroker Ireland eng kit or DIY?
Ok thanks for your help on that, m52 cranks are common enough but secondhand 130 mm rods seem sparse, I won't need to get the block decked with th M52 crank will I? I guess I need to throw out the CATCam? It's a 284 and I lost a lot of top end power when I changed to it but gained good torque I supp...

Re: Help where can i find a close ratio G box for my 325i
right ive got a 260 box but its the same box as I've seen advertised as being from "sport" cars on ebay etc. This is not a dogleg first box the part number seems to match up to other info on the net as it being from a 325i sport - or have i just got a standard 325i gearbox?
