The same guy I bought my wheels from. He's in Germany, and he's on some US forums as "AC Nico". Nice guy, and great English! haha

I'm in the Hills District, and yeah they're remotec A's, 16x8" et16. I love em.

And Ade, I bought the car in November '08, before that I had my '84 323i.

Thanks for the compliments guys! :D

A bit of an update on my e30

Well summer ended for those of us down under just over a week ago, and the weather wasted no time turning foul. The last couple of days have been nicer though, so I washed the car and thought it was about time for some new photos. I have a few new things on the car, but the main ones are the red MHW...

Rear Sun Blind/Shade

Hey all, I've bought a rear sun blind, and while it has all the clips on the blind that I need, I'm not sure about exactly what I need on the car side in order to hold it up. I know how I'm going to put it into the parcel shelf, but not how the blind will attach to the back of the headliner. In othe...

Re: E30 from Aus

yeah, I had them refinished before I put them on. The clear coat was trashed, and the black paint under that was pretty average too. There were no bends or gutter rash though. Well worth the money though, they look tits imo haha.

Re: E30 from Aus

Which parts?? All over. In Aus its often (significantly) cheaper to buy from O/S, even including the shipping. For instance I bought my bilsteins from the US and including shipping I saved around $500! And I got the wheels from Germany, but that worked out alright. You just have to keep looking arou...

Re: E30 from Aus

Best park that nice red paint on the lower levels, away from the damaging sun, or at leat cover it in factor 30+! Haha, the paint is already looking a bit sorry (... I mean pink) on the spoiler. I try and keep it clean and I wax it every now and then to try and preserve the paint. I'll probably end...

E30 from Aus

Its been a while since I’ve started a thread on the zone, and since then I’ve made some additions to my car so I thought it was about time I washed my e30, found the camera (just a point and shoot, sorry some of the photos are a little blurry) and posted some pics of the object in focus. But first a...

9j's and tyre stretching

I'm looking into going 9" wide at the rear on 16's, but was wondering... does running tyres with small external diameters on your car throw the speedo out by much? Some of you are rocking 205/40 16's which have an external diameter of 571mm, and the stock 195/65 14's have an external diameter of 610...

Re: Clock Where Rev Counter Should Be???

The clock is a factory thing on some 316's, I think its from the autos, but I could be wrong. If you wanted to put in a tacho to replace the clock you'd have to make sure that the tacho has the plug in to get its input. You'd also have to make sure you have the right coding plug, ie. a tacho from a ...

The 3.0's may be easier to tune, but they're down on power to begin with, so you'd need to spend money just to get on even terms, and then some for more power, and I'd personally rather the 6sp to the 5sp which came with the 3.0, but thats my opinion.

15" 3 piece BBS

Hello all, I may have the chance to buy some 15" 3 piece BBS wheels (I think they're RS) and was just wondering if anyone had pics (preferably on a tech II kitted coupe), opinions, or info that would be worth seeing/knowing. Ideally I'd like some 16" of the same, but you take what you can get! 8) Th...

Re: Help blacking out my kidney grill....

Good luck sanding off the chrome! Its easier to peel it off (use a knife or something sharp) but be careful you don't take parts of the plastic off with the chrome, then give it a bit of a sand down and spray it black.
It looks neat when done.

I think that the m50 inlet mani fits right onto the m52, but someone should confirm this because I'm not 100% sure.
And you need a remap/ chip for 220bhp but it'd definitely be worth it.

Ok thanks,

So he should check the rear suspension (bushes, springs, balljoints), timing chain, and rear sills, and bootlid?
But rust in Aus shouldn't be a problem for the e36's yet.

I'll pass this on.

Mate is looking at an E36 318is...

A mate of mine is looking at buying a Silver 1992 Manual 318is. So I thought I'd ask if anyone knew of any problem areas?
I know the power windows aren't entirely bulletproof, but anything else?
Rust? Reliability?

Thanks

Re: tech1 kit on a facelift car?

Yeah, the skirts are a direct change. And the front should bolt up if you're changing bumpers as well. If you're looking to keep with plastics then I dunno if the valence is a direct fit. The problem lies in the rear valence, because the facelift cars have different rear arches to the early models. ...

Looks sweet, love your progress.

If you go Tech I skirts, would you try and find the SA 333i type? I think that would probably match the Tech II kit a bit better, but either would still look good no doubt.
