Re: 320is - please tell me about it.
Couple of things, there... 1) A decent S14 motor will cost £2.5K+ even with little/no history. A fresh build will cost you £3.5K+ on top of the cost of the motor! So £6k for a complete MTech car is cheap enough...Bearing in mind the originality factor will keep it's value. 2) While an S14 equipped ...

Grind - no I was thinking of buying a 320is and leaving as is. Or buying a cheap 320 and having an engine built for it.

Re: 320is - please tell me about it.
I've asked about the 320is because I'm after a new road car (see my wanted thread). There are two up for sale at the moment that are both in the £6K area. I don't care for the 'classic rarity' aspect of the car. I'm after something that's clean and solid; usable on my very short commute and wicked o...

320is - please tell me about it.
I've only recently learned of the existence of this model. The ads refer to it as the Italian M3. However, is it just an E30 with a 2 litre M Power engine or is there more underneath the skin? Also, what is the power of the car? Thanks.

Re: Image wheels
A good friend has a set on his car - replica Hallibrand 'knock off' wheels with polished rims. Both the rims and centres corroded terribly in less than one year/1500 miles. He then sent them back to Image to be refurbished which took them two attempts because at their first attempt they didn't even ...

Re: How not to drive at a trackday
Karan - good answers to the guy! I'm usually fine with these encounters because usually they are just a bit novice, out of their depth or blind to their rear view mirror. However, Mini boy was just plain dangerous. A bit like nickstoner would be if he ever went on track.

Stoner, smoke less weed and you might see that I'm all over him in the corners. Not only that, I caught him up within a lap after he forced us off the track.

Re: How not to drive at a trackday
When I think about it, the track marshalls are partly to blame. They decided to omit the blue flag in the briefing, for what reason, I do not know. Bear in mind, this trackday had 600+bhp Time Attack cars running in the group.

Re: How not to drive at a trackday
sorry I can't state who the organisers were due to an agreement about the video I have with them. What I must say though is that the organisers are excellent and what happened has no bearing on them. If anything I should have pulled into the pits after the 'off' and reported the guy but I didn't

How not to drive at a trackday
I had the misfortune of nearly being wiped out by a Mini Cabrio 8O driver at Snetterton recently. His lack of etiquette was inexcusable, especially considering we were in the advanced group. We were going to have words when we returned to the pits but fate dealt a hand................... http://www....

Sounds like you had a great time. I loved it at Cadwell and am going again this Friday. Hoping to demolish the lap times from the last outing since the car now has proper rubber and a roll cage.
