My touring made 133.8 at the wheels. 162 fly and 196 talks.

I notice on my air-fuel graph its dropping to 12:1 at very high revs. Is that normal?

Yeah it sounds right! Where did you get the gasket from?

Mine was GSF, both the 2.0 and 2.5 that is!

It was I the stupid one who fit the 2.0 headgasket.

It sounded like a tractor but still ran. It was REALLY loud.

Hope you dont have the same problem. If you can, check your part numbers on the receipt for purposes of elimination!

I've just done the HG on my 327. I'm not really that great with the spanners but found it quite straight forward!

Good luck mate

Well all seems well at the minute with car.

It runs fine and doesn't vomit its coolant.

I've learned so much from this, including check your parts are correct before fitting them!

Thanks to everyone for their help!

I'm still a little hazy about that issue. The first head gasket I fitted from GSF turned out to be a 320 item. That's why it sounded like a diesel, the pistons were hitting the gasket.

I'll try a few more things this weekend. I might try everything without my fingers crossed this time!

Yeah I did. The oil ways in the block appeared to be clear. As for the head the oilways are concealed( i think). I was thinking that blasting some air down the spray bar holes might free it up. Also how long would you expect oil to take to start circulating? I would have though almost immediately! t...

Block to inlet breather pipe

During my unsucessful HG swap I came accross this pipe with a spring inside.

I'm curious what's its responsible for and how it works. Anyone know?

thanks
