E30 Zone

Its been running ok for the last two days.
I haven't done anything to it.

the cable looks ok and the throttle is opening fully.

driving home it just lost power (but still idling ok) and when I held the throttle all the way down it would take a couple of seconds then it would rev up to 1500 then drop down to idle, then a couple of seconds later it would rev again and drop back. so I drove it home holding it at 1200 rpm and wh...

has anyone else had this problem?

my 325 kept cutting out, so I got it checked on the computer and the garage couldn't get a signal from it so they took the cover off the ecu and it was full of water.

the carpet is dry on the drivers side and I haven't seen any water dripping down under the dash.

I tryed bridging terminals 30 and 87 on the fuel pump relay but it still wouldn't fire up, it might be flooded I will try again tomorrow.

can I get to it from the top?
I can't jack it up cause its on grass.

I have changed the plugs and leads and tested the coil and it is working.
where does the coil pick its earth up from?
(like the points in an old distributor)

It did it again this morning at 7.30, it idled for 10 seconds then cut out and wouldn't fire up it just turns over.
I came home at lunch and it started fine.

I checked the fuse, I couldn't find which relay it is in the manual.

It started fine this afternoon, I will have to see if it starts in the morning when its cold and damp.

The gauge shows half a tank I'll have to check the fuse's and relays tomorrow it p*ssing it down at the moment.

all I've done was charge the battery cause I drained it cranking it over.

I've been reading through some of the other post's and I think I've just polishing it and not sealing it. I used T cut colourfast the first time and the second time it was called liquid gold,the last time it was called finishing glase so I need to buff out the water spots first then polish it with s...

I waxed it a couple of months ago the next day it rained and the sun come out and left little water spots in the paint.
I had to buff the marks out, then rewax it with a different wax just in case.
But it done three times now.

apart from getting it clear coated is there anything I can do?

its a e36 m3 spoiler I thought it would make a change from a m tec one

my wheels will do for now.
the number plate backing is just a standered one painted satin black.

I just put new tyres on the front so I'm not going to change the wheels just yet

taking the disc off and washing it out and roughing the shoes and discs will help on the brake rollers for the mot.

can you fix that or just leave them alone to bed in?

I haven't done any hard braking, its when I press lightly on the peddal.

its all the time, people turn around thinking there is a big lorry coming to a stop.

I fitted my new EBC Grooved and drilled discs and green stuff pads,
painted calipers and brackets,
I greased the edges of the pads and they where free in the brackets.
They where ok for a week but now they screech very loud

I found a set !8 x 7.5 inch wheels I like, they come with a et42 offset and they can supply spacers in 20mm or 25mm and longer bolts.

How much room behind the wheel is the with an et20 offset?

which would be better to use:

20mm spacer to get an et22
25mm spacer et17

make sure you look around their wokshop and see if they've got a spray booth and not just a dusty shed because you cant buff out dirt under the paint.

max power had a rieger genesis purple project car and also one with a gts kit with m3 arches added to it by a company called akk motor sport or something like that.
If you want the genesis kit or a gts kit you can get them from rieger or motion styling.

I e mailed South West Tyres who sell 18 alpina reps, for prices
and they said they wouldn't fit because they are 8 inchs wide.
