18 now. Bought my 325is (Australian) or "Sport" as you call them, just before I turned 17. Love it and will keep it forever

Re: M Tech 2 Lower Lip
Yeah definitely seen it under the Tech 2 lip. It was a separate piece which was black. Only ever seen it on one car though, maybe it was custom made. Only reason i ask is that the way it protrudes further out at the front of the car looks awesome from a side view..

M Tech 2 Lower Lip
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows of a lower lip that fits underneath the M-tech front spoiler on a Sport, as I've seen one recently and if so, where i can find them??
Cheers,
Wally

I just think they make the car look that little bit meaner from behind when lowered with fat tyres...

Re:
I think its more a really well optioned standard rather than a 325is. In Aus, they ALL came with black roof liner.
It also has the wrong instrument cluster.
Even still, find yourself some 15" BBS rims and you've got yourself a gem ;)

Re: Down Gearing??
Never tried this double-clutching business before...but I like it! Only thing is i don't see the need to use the brake (as you do with heel and toe) when I'm downshifting to overtake a car in front of me. Oh and just in case, what if i accidentally hit the throttle too hard..does it matter if you po...

Re: 15" BBS tyres
I mean to an extreme level. Reason I ask is that i don't know whats optimal for the 15's. My car currently sits on 14's with 195/60, so its not the best look. Ultimately, I'm after a balance between looks and ride comfort.

15" BBS tyres
Gday guys,
I'm after some tyres for my new 15" BBS basketweaves. I want them to look as fat as possible, especially at the rear, without reducing quality. What size do you guys reckon i should go for in regards to width, since I'm looking at a profile of about 50??
Best Regards,
Wally

Re: Down Gearing??
So as long as the car allows me to downshift into first, I'm not going to cause damage at around 10mph or less? This certainly makes life easier than beginning in 2nd gear at these low speeds. Cheers Guys! BTW: Congrats on the Olympics in 2012. Better put on a good show for us like the Chinese did. ...

Snoops, do you refer to downshifting into 3rd at 50mph using normal shifts or heel and toe?? I certainly have never done that at such speeds..

Fair enough.. Cheers boys! A final question.. I was having an argument with a mate who reckons there is a certain speed at which you can downshift to first, whereas I tend to come close enough to a complete stop before doing so. Any insight?

I'd prefer silver.. Black takes away too much detail in the patterns IMHO.

Re: Down Gearing??
Ahh sweet.. So e30's don't have synchronisers im assuming?
I haven't tried it as yet but I imagine the heel and toe method would be a pain to do every time you want to downshift while maintaining optimal speed to overtake any cars out on the highway..

And sorry Lee, but why does the foot have to be on the brake pedal when blipping the throttle in heel and toe? Can it not be blipped without engaging brakes?

I'm assuming at low speeds, 4th to 2nd isn't too much of an issue, provided you're not exceeding the normal speed you would reach in second gear?...

Down Gearing??
G'day guys,
I just wanted to know, at what maximum speeds is it safe to shift down a gear on an e30 Sport. Reason I ask is that i don't want to be blowing a gear box by trying it at speeds unreasonably high. For example from 4-3 or 3-2 or 2-1 etc..
Best Regards,
Wally

Re:
Yeah not too sure bout the tech 2 wheels.. Might pinch one if they come along being more desirable and all but i like the small, sporty look of the Tech 1, so i have no plans to change atm. Tech 2 looks a tad fat i rekn.. What's that kit you got on urs? Is it a keeper?
