hi all

i've just changed out the instrument cluster, everything appears to be working fine, except the clock indication (which sits between the oil service & inspection warning) has just lit up. will this go out with the service resetting tool.

ive just swapped out a knackered cluster, for a spare i got off the bay. alll seems ok changed the coding plug.

how do you goabout changing the mileage on the new one to the reading on the old one ?

anything else to consider ie fuel tank size/reading?

thanks for those pointers Brian, it wasnt repainted b4 it went on. Next time i'm passsing my local bush tyres i'll see if i can get it up on their ramps they are usually very helpful, (full of people wanting to take it off my hands,but no money mentioned) to try & look at these areas.

If the tank leaks above 1/2 full only, where is it likely to be failing?

Its a replacement tank from GSF approx 5yrs old fro a 63ltr 325i.

Ive had a replacement head fitted to my 325iSport, and now have a spare U/S one, as i got the replacement head off a friend of the bmw technician who did the job. Any zoners out there know who might want it, & if it could be used as exchange for other bits, that would help replenish an empty wallet!!
