I unplugged the A pillar contact to the passanger door, tested it, it would lock, ok so i plugged it back in at it works ;) So if problems comes back i will take a look at the passanger side.

http://e30.bmwdiy.info/blower-resistor/index.html This should help.
On mine i can't take the resistor out from there, i need to do it inside the car, but if you take a look down there you can see what you are looking for.

Re: Blower Fan not working on '3'
Well depends, mine is easy, some is harder, just put your hand up under the steering wheel towards the motor, feel around until you find it ;) Then pull, you should maybe be able to see it, but it's hard, there is some wires going into it. Hard for me to explain ;)

Re: central locking
I would take a look at the A pillar contact, check here. http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/Central_Locking_problems On mine the most of it had corroded away, bought some new ones and central locking works again. Also it's recommended todo red black wire mod, search the forum for that one....

Re: Completly dead central locking
You can take out the corroded pins and changed the worst ones, they are expensive, so try to save as many as possible. Option 2 cut the wires of the corroded pins and join them together on the door side, should be a hole in the A pillar plug to get the wires through. I had to do this on one wire sin...

I had this problem, changing the pump and converter didn't solve it. A year after i cleaned filter and changed oil, problem not gone (cleaning filter not exactly a good idea ;) but the car went forward again after that ) Some time later i lost reverse, and low gear brake, that time i took the auto d...

If you have the same type of motor as me there is a adjusting screw for it, think it's while plastic. You can also take the arm of the motor then put it back on in the right position.

Don't know exactly where the oil is coming from, guess i need to jack the car up some day and take a look. If it's r...

Guess the best would be to use some screw extractor to get the old nipple out then put in a new one.

Could it be fuel pump relay? Check under the black thingie next to the air filter, there you can see 2 or 3 relays, tap them when engine is running, see if it dies.

Well since the gearbox oil goes through radiator i would guess that the leak is coming from the pipes going to the gearbox.
Always a good idea to plug pipes with fluid inside ;)

Re: Strange starter issue
Im no expert at this but have you tried turning the flywheel by hand? maybe it's stuck? Is it properly mounted?
I have experience a few starter failures and it sounds like it's dead, but you have tried 2. Hit it with a hammer ;) always works.

Re: Auto gearbox no drive at all
Well clogged filter could cause this, but usually you can get it in drive after a while, also there should be a noise.
I would suspect the oil pump inside the gearbox, not that expensive and not hard to replace (need to take the box down), but you would need to ask an auto man to confirm this.

Well i was thinking off taking out the fuel pump relay then empty it that way instead of driving the tank empty ;)
So i guess i need to live with it then, can't say i want to spend too much money on a ticking sound i don't hear while the radio is on

I don't hear it much in the car.
Think the ticking is the same cold or warm, it follows the rpm, i think the ticking stops right away when i turn the key.

Re:
You need to check that you have the correct amount of oil in.
If the oil is correct it could be a few problems, either your oil pump is soon gone or your valve body needs some overhaul.
I would think that if you drive around like that you will damage your clutch pack's soon.

Re: 318i Auto gearbox problem
But first i would try changing oil and filter, doesn't cost much and takes you an hour. If you are lucky the problem could be filthy filter, so when cold it can't suck enough oil to change gear but when you give allot of rpm it managed to suck some oil in and change gear. It's a small chance but wor...

I suggest that you change the filter and oil. Not a bad idea to do this anyway, what color is the oil? Should be clear red.

Could be many reasons. Can you test the car a little more? Does it brake on low gear? Does it slip in reverse? Can you hear a weird noise when you get this problem? When you have the problem does it affect reverse? If reverse works when forward doesn't problem would be A clutch pack, if not it's sim...

Re: 318i Auto gearbox problem
Think it's time for an overhaul ;) I had this problem myself and it went away when i changed the oil pump. I would also change A and B clutch while you have it down, and probably change torque converter. Not hard to fix really the hardest part is to take the box down and up again. You won't need to ...
