this will surprise you, my brother just got a great deal with tesco insurance - but call them and talk through it.. don't do anything online as they can only deal with preset criteria and nothing else...

i'm in agreement with most of the comments here, the big engined autos are not slow, but clearly lose a bit to manuals.
i've had both the sports switchable and standard auto on 325's and always loved the kickdown once you are doing more than 40.. and sounds very nice too!

£500 for a good nick 318 is good money, and the fact you know of its history is making it worth more. decent is's don't come for under a grand mate and if you are looking to uprate yours then save your cash and buy an is straight out.
