Checked sensor & wire was worn rite down so changed for new one! :) Was sure it would work, but still no spark from my nice new King lead attached to my new coil, so time to try swapping the ecu as all relays are good to, as it turns & fuels-just won't fire! :roll: I'll sort it soon, having no ride ...

No spark nightmare!
Hi I have a 1988 320i facelift & I broke down the other day as the engine just stopped at low revs going slowly & I could'nt restart it! 8O I tried all I could to sort it & no good, it was getting fuel ok just there was no spark! Once the AA guy turned up he tested the leads ect & could not start it...

If it's the same as 7 series (I suspect it will be) then it's most likely just dirt in the sender unit (under oval panel under right rear seat on mine) The cure on the old 7's was to remove & clean out the sender unit thoroughly & make sure any connections inside the tank are clean and secure. No worries, I have just found a set of Azev A's 16's, in mint condition (referbed!) with tyres, & they go staight on no spacers, perfect fit-Awsome!!!
