does remapping really have a big benefit on these cars? and is £250-300 a realistic price seeing as thats all the cash? Actually who is good on here to talk to about it? Not to sure how much effect it will make on these cars. I had it done on my golf gt tdi 110bhp and fu*k me that thing took off li...

Cant you just have it re-mapped? More performance, better fuel economy, better response with the throttle and so on....
It cost about £250-£300 to do so!!

Mate i think you can all agree on one thing here.......get a small car to start off with, save up your money for a year or two, then get yourself a nice E30 as said above. The way things are going now mate i wouldnt spend the money because when you get stuck you will get stuck hard, its not the same...

Re: should i buy one?
Agreed, a 316 is a good starting point, plenty of later 316 lux models knocking about still that still have rear arches in them, tourings also seem to be in better nick, except tailgates which rot with the best of 'em. You can get a nice late J or K plate 316 touring for about £600. As for the insu...

Re: should i buy one?
When you get insurance on them go for a 316 then do it on one of your parents name and yourself as 2nd driver....i have been doing it ever since i was 17 lol. Some insurance companies such as direct line will also give the 2nd driver ncd so you can build up your own. Thats your only hope to getting ...

No matter how good the car may look or sound every e30 will have some sort of problem mate. If you can get the 1st one for a good price i would go for it, as said by Spadge if you win it and it dont look as described then walk away simple as that, we all done it before. I think it dont really matter about being a cat c, personaly i agree with steve-e30 its an old car so insurance will write it off even if the bumper drops off. As long as the car has no major panel damage etc then its worth around the 4k mark. It wont half its value, the only thing i would be worrie...

Re: Possible Black 325i Convertible for sale with BBS Kit !
Yes i agree 4k is a good price, doubt you will get that much as not many people want to spend money due to the credit crunch etc. Ive seen cars which usualy would sell for over 4k with no problem struggle to reach 2k on ebay!! But as they say a cars worth what someone will pay for it. Good luck with...
