Re: 1986 316 M10 carb
Actually a completion of my first post and start of my journery in owning an e30. My first memory of an e30 was on one of india's iconic post war race tracks - Sholavaram ! The car was owned by someone who could import it then - A malachite Green e30 325i , a metal bumper model. The seed was sown . ...

Re: Improving Airflow to Engine Bay
Hi Chaps, I've recently converted my car to run an M52 and have completed two track days so far. The engine temperature does creep up towards the end of each session (circa 15-20 minutes), so have been keen to see how best to get more air flowing into the engine bay. Any tips on what has worked for...

Re: 316i M40 does not start.
Also there seems to be a wire running from near the crank to one of the plug leads, can you tell me what this is. This is the M40's equivalent of a cam position sensor. Car will run OK without it, but run slightly better with it. thanks.fixed it yesterday.it was a faulty crank position sensor. There ...

Re: 316i M40 does not start.
Fuel pump only runs when the engine sees pulses from the crank sensor. Unplug the CPS under the inlet manifold, and measure its resistance. Check that its wire hasn't come loose where it passes the water pump pulley, and been savaged by it. thanks a ton for that. Will check. Also there seems to be a ...

316i M40 does not start.
My 1990 316i M40 refuses to start. The engine turns over fine but does not fire.Have had the car for around 2 months now and was running fine until a week ago. Put in a new battery last week and all was good.Thought it might be the fuel pump relay or fuse cause the pump does not come on when the igni...

Re: Brake and suspention porn. (now with car pics)
Dezzy,
nice car and cool upgrades as well. Which H&R spring are you using and how does it ride/handle ? I am asking because i am planning to use the H&R sport with the bilstein b6 and uprated anti roll bars - dont want to lower more than mtec spec due to our roads here.
