Wind sunroof back a few cm then you can pull front edge of liner dowm with your hands to release the 5 spring-clips that hold it in place. Doing this bends/distorts the metal frame that the liner-material is glued to but it's easy to manipulate it back to the right shape when you finally put the lin...

Yes the screen is supplied from both reservoirs, and the lamp washers are fed by the hidden motor (next to bonnet-strut) in the larger reservoir

Perhaps rear screen is leaking somewhere? If you lift up the parcel-shelf and have a look for pools of water on the sheet-metal up there. On my saloon i have an unusual spot of rust- in the front n/s corner of the boot-aperture, where three or four layers of sheet-metal meet up. If i let this develo...

Re: E30 seat mechanism repair northwest?
I've found that lubing all the pivots, levers etc. underneath /inside the seat with old engine oil can bring a sticking mechanism back to life. You have to take the seat out (4 bolts) and turn it upside-down to discover where all the many points that need a spot of oil are-they are usually stained br...

I tried Halfords dark grey vinyl paint aerosol and the colour-match was hopeless- was more of a muddy-brown than the dark grey/ anthracite i expected.
I eventually got a close match from a local paint supplier, i think the brand was Mirpa and the colour was 'Dunkelgrau'

Re: Fuel pump location, '87 325i Cabbie manual RHD
My '87 car has just the one pump in front of the n/s wheel- under the seat there is just the fuel-gauge sender-unit. The way to tell if there is a pump in-tank is to check the number of electrical wires going into the top of the tank- if just 2(i think) wires are present then that suggests just a se...

Re: Parasitic drain
I had a 60ma drain ,which i tracked down to the instrument blue connector/SI board- removing the board ( which had already had the batteries replaced) reduced the drain to a more normal 25ma.
Taking a chance on a second-hand board from Ebay cured it.

If you were to mix up the motors so that the N/S motor was where the O/S one should be that would cause your problem- but one motor has 3 wires and the other 4 wires so i can't see how that could happen
