Just buy my car Sal, it's all sorted!! To be honest, it takes a while to get to know the circuit, i don't know which one you were doing but the GP is the biggest and fastest. I find that in the dry mine will tend to understeer...........there is not enough feel and steering precision in an old E30, ...

Just wanted to post my thoughts. It does depend on whether you are using polish or wax to some degree. If the paintwork is hot polish will dry as soon as it hits the surface and won't spread evenly and the thicker parts you end up with are more difficult to buff away. When using a wax, as already sa...

I can tell you what i have found on my 325 Sport on track, but as anyone will tell you, any road car setup is a compromise on track and a full track setup on the road is just dangerous!! :clin: I tried the H&R cup kit with old standard ARBs on track and then again after fitting the H&R ARBs with new...

Try Leda themselves for the servicing: http://www.leda.com/index.htm

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself.

I really wanted to get up there yesterday, but alas, work kept me busy all day.

They are certainly addictive, and if you get a dry day at Silverstone you'll be grinning even more.

What circuit were you using, Grand Prix, National or International?

I agree with some of what you say. It has been great for learning, it's tough and reliable and wouldn't have been the end of the world if i had stuffed it into a wall. As Karl says, take it at your own pace. When i first started at Silverstone i had professional tuition. Hi Sal, Thought i better tell you what i have found running my E30 at Silverstone over the last few months. I always do the GP circuit and do approx 4 hours on track. I'm doing a track day at Silverstone again this Sunday 22nd Jan.

There is normally a couple of E30's trying to keep up with the GT3 RS's. Anyone interested should come and see how it all works, it really is the most fun you can have in road car.

When you fit wheel spacers, how do you centre the rim?

I have just had a Wilwood disc/caliper conversion fitted and it does not fit behind the BBS without a spacer.

The problem i have found is that a spacer stops the wheel self-centering on the hub, i have done it by eye but is there a better solution?

Any suggestions welcome.

About 50 quid a pop mate.

They are road legal in certain circustances i believe, such as pre-determined link routes on rally stages.....

I would take it that they are not road legal though to be safe. I only do very short distances winkeye

I have just checked the ETK and it seems that the steel and alloy wheels use the same bolt? They are M12x1,5 (Dunno what the 1,5 means??)

It is probably only non-bmw wheels that require longer studs.

Studs for the 15" BBS

I have just bought a set of studs from GSF and they look slightly different from the studs currently fitted. The new ones are tapered with approx 25mm of thread, most of the thread seems to be protruding from the face behind the rim.

Anyone know if this is correct or should they be longer?
