Will steel bore in the same way as alloy?

I would have thought as they are pressed rather than forged it wouldnt work_

Best 15" Steelies to fit an E30?

I had to fit the spare on the Tourer and it actually looked quite cool..black on black etc

So I got to thinking about running a full set of 15 Steelies and wondered what fits best?

Re: Weird fuel pump problem.

The fuel pump seems to have a funny effect on the way the car runs....My fuel pump died on me and after changing it for a new (Bosch) one the car suddenly seems to fly!

I wonder if the cylinders were previously being starved of fuel as the pressure was probably too low!

Im 40 an ive got a touring and a coupe

I have a 10 yr old kiddie and theres no problem with legroom in either!

You ought to try out the legroom in the back of a 10 plate Astra 4 door as a comparison!

Who cares if TG trash a few E30s and rubbish them to the masses?

You all love your E30s because of what they represent to you? right? not because TG say they are cool or rubbish etc.

Or have I logged onto Pistonheads by mistake?

Its dead easy!........youll need to remove the left side boot liner (if the existing one is in the standard place) and you should be able to see the aerial mounting holes and connections etc.

It should be a 10 minute job!

Re: Anyone know what this connector might be for?

My guess is its part of an old alarm/immobilizer system seeing as its located where it is. If you not very good with wiring or car electrics I would leave it well alone as it may cause more problems if you try to get rid of it. If you are fairly confident then go ahead and get rid its defiantly not...

And why it has been cut with a fuse connection?

Also what reason the fuse may have been removed?

Re: Sub & Amp

Do you mean that the battery wire is missing its fuse or there it has no fuse (as in its one complete wire to the battery?) If its the former plug a fuse into it If its the latter, the amp should work but I would recommend adding a fuse close to the battery You say the light on the amp glows...........

Re: What's the most interesting thing you've found in a car

I found a burst (quite large) bag of columbian marching powder in the wheel well of my E28 the day after buying it from some really shifty looking guy from a dodgy area who couldnt sell the car quick enough!

I scooped it all out and dissolved it in a bucket before washing it down the drains!

Id say either a bad earth, The amp gain is turned down, The headunit fader is set wrong, The RCAs are not in the correct sockets or the speaker cables arent connected to the right terminals.

Or

The car doesnt have enough juice to run the amp.....Have you tried it with the engine running?

If you are strong you can pull em out without the aid of tools

I took them out and sprayed them with Satin black and they now look like new.

The whole job took about 30 seconds in total (excluding removing the wiper arm)

My 325i has always started on the button until today when it would turn over but wouldnt fire.
