Soak a rag with petrol and that removes it but wear gloves and follow the safety of good ventilation outside preferably when you do this

Wear good gloves to protect your hands, cover the engine with an old blanket and use a cloth soaked in a petrol.
This was the best way to remove the old adhesive

Hi,
If you replace the hood replace the tension straps each side as they will be stretched. New straps are expensive but they will make all the difference in tensioning the hood and will aid the electric motor/gear box

Hi, I would change the automatic gear box filter and auto transmission fluid and see how you get on. The gear box sump or pan as it is sometimes referred will have to be removed to change the filter, a filter, o ring and rubber gasket will be required. Refill with Castrol Dextron 2 or 3 available at...

If the engine is turning over then the battery sounds fine.
How long have the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor arm been on the car?
Sounds like service items need changing.

Hi, Spray it with plenty of WD 40 or plus gas and let it soak. The pump is recessed into the block with an O ring forming the seal, these can be tight. Use a block of wood on the old water pump body and gently keep tapping it until the pump starts to move. Thoroughly clean the end of the head before...

Hi,
The nearest independent is in Bexleyheath you have a choice of D&T Wise or Bexley Motor Works. Sorry i do not have my telephone book with me but they will be in the local yellow pages.
Alternatively if it is just brakes and MOT Nicholas Motors in Church Road, Welling are fair.

If you have an ohmeter check the resistance of the plug leads they should all be the same there abouts. I trust your battery is in good condition and charging prope...
