Re: Sold my m50 and bought a cab
It was blue fabric in not to great condition when I bought it. Now replaced with new upholstered beige leathers.
I don't like the look of rear headrests on a cab so opted to leave them out when getting the interior re-done.

Re: refurbing engine parts
You said crusty, crusty = old and perished. Why take a chance on something of little relevant cost that can potentially cause a break down? I'm not taking a chance with anything. All hoses were checked and in good nick, just crusty, which in this context = discoloured and dirty. When is it going in...

Otto models are metal, only thing is nothing can be opened and the wheels can't steer. Other than that the details are good for the price you pay. Paint has a good finish and the interior is nicely detailed. The 2 door will be arriving in about two weeks and words are that it will also be available ...

The funny thing is the discs of the z3m and e36 m3 are the same as are the carriers, but the callipers are different. Sourcing the discs won't be a problem, neither will the carriers but the callipers might be an issue.

Rear big brake kit
I will be using a 330i front setup on my cab, so that will have 325mm front rotors with e46 330i callipers. Now I'm looking for a suitable rear upgrade. I am running an e36 318ti rear axle so it's allready 5 stud. I remember having read somewhere on the net that 120d rear discs are suitable for the ...

Re: Sold my m50 and bought a cab
A little update. Got my hands on a cheap 2.5 so chucked that in for the time being. Also fitted a 5 stud setup using an e36 318ti rear axle and e36 325i front hubs and a cheap coilover set on the front. Dont mind the wheels, they are tamporary as my style 20's didn't fit. I have a nice refurbed 17" ...

True, if I were to put a heavyweight in it might as well be an m60
I really want to have a 6pot and more than 12 valves.
Also 24v's are better on fuel than an m30 anchor...

Re: M50, been there, whats next?
I'm not really looking for a "hybrid" engine build, just a straigt forward swap.
It will probably be an m52 as that will give me a little bit more power than the old m50 but wont cost me as much as an s50...
Lol v12 is not an option.

Re: does a mtech2 valance fit over the air ducts??
You have to remove them from the valance.
You also need other air ducts to fit the tech 2 valance, they have to be longer.

M50, been there, whats next?
Hi lads, I had an M50 fitted to my last car, a more door 320ia. It was a good engine wich made about 200 bhp. Now that I have the convetible I want to do another swap. I don't want to do another m50 as this car is heavier than the 4 door so it won't be as fast. M52 is an option but they are getting ...

Thos are not hardtop mounts. They are just used to put the little black cap in too.
