Re: M42/M44 sticky throttle

Hi James I have just bought an E36 M42 motor for a spare and have no use for any of the E36 inlet or ancillaries . The throttle body to me seems OK . You are welcome to have any parts you want to take .

Snap on don't make mig welders Cebora do and label them Snap on , B O C etc . I have a Cebora and a B O C which work well and are reliable and are cheaper to buy second hand without the Snap on stickers .

This is emerging now about the little boy that was shown dead on a beach . Re: M42/M44 timing chain tensioner replacement

Both the ones I did I left it uncompressed , I didn't like the idea of the revving to 3k even though all the front ends were either new or as new .
What are your sprockets and chain like for wear ? .
On both of mine the guide that the tensioner pushes on showed hardly wear at all .

The thing is what the car was worth when the accident happened ?. My tourer is a 316i first registered 03/1994 and had an ID check on 02/2006 when it was 12 years old and worth probably 1K . So £6 /700 repair costs and it was written off . The only faults I have found in the 6 years I have owned it ...
