Re: M42/M44 sticky throttle
Hi James I have just bought an E36 M42 motor for a spare and have no use for any of the E36 inlet or ancillaries . The throttle body to me seems OK . You are welcome to have any parts you want to take .

Re: Snap-on mig 130 turbo welder
Snap on don't make mig welders Cebora do and label them Snap on , B O C etc . I have a Cebora and a B O C which work well and are reliable and are cheaper to buy second hand without the Snap on stickers .

This is emerging now about the little boy that was shown dead on a beach . BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The father of drowned Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi was working with smugglers and driving the flimsy boat that capsized trying to reach Greece, other passengers on board said, in an account that disputes the...

Re: M42/M44 timing chain tensioner replacement
Both the ones I did I left it uncompressed , I didn't like the idea of the revving to 3k even though all the front ends were either new or as new .
What are your sprockets and chain like for wear ? .
On both of mine the guide that the tensioner pushes on showed hardly wear at all .

Hi if you mean the electrics that fit to the injectors and plugs into the engine loom , then it fits but the lead comes out in a different place if I remember correctly . One in the middle and the other at the end .

In the dark old days we would cut and lengthen mini bottom arms to give negative camber to reduce under steer . These were used on the road , rallies , auto test and grass track and never had a single issue .

Re: 325i Sport For Sale -Undeclared Cat C
The thing is what the car was worth when the accident happened ?. My tourer is a 316i first registered 03/1994 and had an ID check on 02/2006 when it was 12 years old and worth probably 1K . So £6 /700 repair costs and it was written off . The only faults I have found in the 6 years I have owned it ...

For what it's worth I have a windscreen tool as in the first link ( which is that old it has a wooden handle ) which you push around the screen . The tool in the last link it looks like you pull it which to me just seems awkward to me especially around corners .

Your local free adds is your friend for roof racks . I have a set on mine rated at 150kg and a genuine bmw 7 series alloy set with locking wrench thingy and I paid £ 5.00 per set , both under 5 miles from home .

Also read Thinking of fitting an M42?in the tech help m40 / m42 page . I fitted m25b solid motor mounts to mine with m40 arms and where they may be OK for a track day car they are way too hard for a daily driver .
