TRYING TO FIND HER

Hi guys still without an E30 at the mo and still wondering where my old one is, reg E286 TCV, white 325i Touring, sold on ebay two years ago to a guy from Wiltshire, who worked for a racing team for classic Aston Martins.
Anyone seen her on the road by chance or know if shes still running, cheers

could even be dry or cracked solder on the back of the clocks themselves, ive heard that a good spray of WD40 over the solder remedies this problem for a quick but long lasting fix

325i m20 engine what way up shold the AFM be mounted, mine has the plug uppermost along with the swingometer thingy being upermost.

Well easy to take out the cluster mate theres a sticky at the top of forum on how to take them out, shouldnt take no more than 15 minutes.

heres a quick question, what way up should the AFM be mounted? should the sweeper bit be on top or should it be underneath if you get what i,m saying, mine sits ontop but ive seen others that are mounted the other way up, does it make a difference to its operation?

Ok sounds dumb but what exactly is the newspaper test on the viscous fan, I,ve managed to stop mine with me fingers on many occasion when fiddling around in the bay with engine running, I,ve got an idea that my fan might be on its way out.

Yeah no dramas with that dont forget you still have another 3 braking wheels :D had a similar thing on the rear brake of my bike stripped and replaced piston seals and fluid and all was fine, was due to corrosion road salt etc and me not really using the rear brake as mch as I should.

Yep my 325i Touring can get 300+ miles from a tank full, £65 or there abouts to brim it and its Cornwall to Hereford and back on a tank full, mind you its just off the red when |I get back to Cornwall, when the speedo works Im doing 3000 rpm approx 70mph with the mpg gauge hovering in the late 20s...

take out fuse 11 and start the car, it will run for max of 5 secs then cut out, although I wouldnt put the fuse back in until I had finished the work. Just in case.

Strip out the waterpump and replace, if yoy mean the waqter pump isnt turning, they are prone to giving up the ghost ie coming away from their shafts I believe.

MMMMMM looks interesting, mines got an AVITAR alarm fixed in it at the moment, every time you start the engine it locks the doors but sometimes it waits a couple of minutes before locking them, handy at the garsage when they shut the door and walk away, have to tell them to leave a window open, also...
