Anyone got a M40/m42
Sump,oil pickup pipe,oil dipstick and tube.
Both engine mounts.
Just picked up a m44 to put in my e30 project so after any parts to help fit motor.
Would also consider buying a complete engine.

i need to remove my m20 2.5 head to repair snapped exhaust manifold bolts.so wot headgasket is best bmw or aftermarket(europarts).anyone used glaser head bolts ?

no just swap the in tank fuel pump and sender unit complete from a m20 2.5 as this will have a return pipe allready fitted

your best option is to use etch primer on bumper as it eats into metal/plastic to give good base for paint to stick to

does anyone now if theres a template avalible for drilling the fixture holes in the sills so i can fit my touring sideskirts.ow yes forgot to say these are genuine bmw ones.

yes i read that e36 318ti compact trailing arms will fit.and e36 front struts with adjustable top mount to set correct wheel camber.

pull out relay k7 and link across pins 30 and 87 of its base with piece of wire . if this makes heater fan work then investigate wire to starter motor .black/green wire with 8mm electrical connecter

just bought 1991 525 to fit m50 into my e30 .only fault with 525 is dash displaying coolant level low.checked rad and levels fine .is there a water level sensor fitted to this vehicle

if you are fitting later ecu and engine harness of a plastic bumper model onto an early chrome bumper model then there are wiring diferences between harness sockets . fitting engine harness and crank sensar bracket / trigger wheel can all be done with engine in place

there is a small hole in o/s grill next to highbeam lamp .push long flathead screwdriver into hole and turn this should open bonnet.good luck

had a go of opening bonnet today and found two catches holding bonnet down.so pulled one part of kidney grill off and pushed o/s catch over to the left and bonnet opend .e36 is different setup to e30.i can now start m50 conversion .

ratios for sports box are 1st=3.35 2nd=2.03 3rd=1.36 4th=1.00 and 5th=0.81 hope that helps mate

yes you can fit b20 head onto b25 . i read in bmw mag that b20 gives better flow rating than b25 something about port sizes if i remember right
