Re: Warning zones e30 on Hertfordshir, which is not as descr
It is much worse than pics suggest, but I would have had it for £300, but he was just adamant that it wasn't rusty and I was just making stuff up to knock the price down. Even after I made him look thro the passenger front mirror as I, from the outside, put my finger through the floor and moved the ...

Get the scissor type ball joint splitter, preferably with long arms, and you will never have to hit anything again. You will also never damage a ball joint baited ever again. This one is a tenner

Black 1989 325i se saloon - new daily driver & my first
Just bought a Black 1989 325 se saloon. I bought it from a retired Doctor who's had it forever. Full service history. £350. It's my first 6pot and it feels good! http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f246/alburglar/E30%20Saloon%20325%20SE/IMG_0817.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f246/alburglar/E30...

Re: A 2 part vs 3 part Exhaust query for my new 325 se.
For future reference, the 3 part system from eurocarparts does replace the old 2 part system. I have fitted it now, with now real issues, but you do need to retain one of the flangeclamps from the old system and use it on the new system. It goes on the slip pipe on one side of the downpipe and seals...

Re: Removing m20 viscous fan?
I have a 'special' old thin chisel that fits in between the pulley bolts to lock it off, but as the others suggest, a good thwack after loads of wd40 usually does the trick.

It's got good compression. But is blowing oil out the filler (when open) and out the breathers into the throttle body! I'm gona mess about with the breathers first. The bloke with the short nose 90mm crank sold it, even though i'd paid for it? So he's now refunded me.
No loss because the long nose 88mm crank should hopefully be here this week.

Well interim standard(ish) m42 engine is in, just needs fluids before I start it. But everything has been a bloody struggle. A couple of rounded off allen bolts on the old clutch had to be cut off. The spigot bearing was too small and engine wouldn't go on m40 gearbox. For those that don't know it i...

Re: Whats simplest engine swap for more power currently have
I'd go M42. you don't need the diff you can use the m40 one, you can use your m40 gearbox. You just need an engine with ancillaries (exhaust manifold and inlet & throttle body are the main ones), loom, ecu. You will also need a larger radiator and cowl, i got mine from an IS but i'm sure loads will ...

I want to use my e36 m3 s50b32 conrods which are 135mm and pistons which are 86.4mm.
