US Spec Side Markers
I need to replace the bumper mouldings in the future, & was toying with the idea of fitting the US Spec ones with the side markers in. Has anyone here done this? How would they be wired in to the existing lights? Would there be any issues with the MOT?
Any advice appreciated

Re: 2.5 sport with 2.7 bottome end , what does this mean ??
If this helps, he said there are 2 bolts where the top end and bottome end join. Top bolt says 2.5 and bottom bolt says 2.7?? Its all confusing, if you see the sepc list above , its what Cotswold sent me it says power 125?? and even i know its got more than 125????!!! The 125 is Kw, converts to 167...

Thanks for the comments! The missing lip WAS negotiated into the price I paid, & is on my list to do! I'm not going to do much to it really, no major mods, possibly the Tech 2 Steering wheel, ( had one on my M3 & it really is a nice wheel!), a set of 15" BBS's for the summer then have winter tyres o...

BMW Alarm Siren Battery
Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can get a new Backup Battery for my alarm? I took it apart today & the one in the siren has sort of expanded at the ends
I've read on another forum that it's a 7.2v rechargeable Battery.

Re: Headlight Switch Panel Illumination
Having read this thread I've just realised my bulb must have died before I bought the car 9 years ago. Can anyone tell me which bulb I need to buy for it. Ebay link? Thanks in advance, G I got some today from the Dealers, Part No.61.13.8.360.844, cost about £1.15 each. They told me they are the sam...

Re: Headlight Switch Panel Illumination
Headlamp switch panel is held in by some small nuts, but it doesn't need to be removed to change the bulb. Bulb and holder are between and above the headlamp switch and the fog light switch, and just pulls straight out. If you can't get your head underneath enough to see, try pushing out the fog li...

Re: Headlight Switch Panel Illumination
Just the one bulb on any E30 I've come across, Lee. I think you may be confusing it with the bulbs for the headlamp levelling control. Just had a quick look, headlight level switch has 2 bulbs. I can't see any other bulb that have come loose, how does the switch panel come out? Is it bolted from th...

Hi all, just a quick question, are the areas above the Headlight & fog Switches, as shown in the pic, supposed to illuminate with the side lights on?

My 1st E30 - 318is
Just thought i'd post some pictures up of my 318is. This is my 3rd BMW, previous models being an E36 316 Coupe, & an E36 3.0 M3. I've always wanted an E30, & I was looking at buying one when the M3 came up for sale. I decided the time was right to get one, as i was getting bored with the M3, & E36's...

318is Over Heating Issues!
Hi all, I'm new to E30s & have just bought a 318is. Getting home, I had no issues, but yesterday on my way to work, I hit a bit of traffic, & the temp gauge started to creep up to just outside the red. Once moving again, it went down to the middle of the gauge. I had this problem with my E36 M3 that...

E30 Dilemma!!
First post here & just looking for some feedback reference a possible car swap. I'm currently rolling in an E36 3.0 M3, which is mechanically sound but needs some attention to the bodywork. I've had it on Pistonheads for a couple of weeks, & i'm looking for an E30 318is. The car is up for £3000, but...

New to the Forum
Hi, My name is Paul & i'm new to the forum. I have had an E36 coupe for the last few years, but that has recently been written off after a neighbour reversed off his drive, straight into my car which was parked outside my house! I'm in the market for a replacement, & i'm thinking of going old skool,...
