Re: 325i sport vs escort rs turbo
To be fair ive had many an RS and it would be close! Especially that its easy to get a lot more power out on the 1.6 cvh turbo lump than the 325 could ever wish for. Good set of suspension and a remap and it would eat any e30 for breakfast, as much as it pains me to say it, being front wheel drive a...

Cream would look good but youve got to think long term!
Cream will also take the colour or jeans and so on and will get dirty over time.
Just go for black and be done with it lol

Re: Adjustable top mounts
I had some original BMW Groups A ones on my M3 and they make a big difference. But what i will say is they take a lot of fiddling around to get them set up correctly, you can go with the, throw them one and as long as both sides look ok then that will do approach but i had my car corner weighted and...

Re: foreign drivers should be shot!!!
Mind you a mate of mine was nearly killed in Germany when he was doing well over 140 in an Escort Cosworth! The thing was it wasnt his fault it was the polish guy comeing up the autobahn the wrong way in a lada!!!! needless to say he spent many a month in hospital. But saying that it happens a lot i...

LHD Lambda probe!
I have a 1987 LHD 325i the cat has been changed for the normal centre box thus removing the lmabda sensor! Is it worth me drilling a hole in the downpipe and welding a nut on and re-fitting the sensor or just leave it off? I know the car is designed to run without it and it has done for a while now ...

Re: 320 to 325 bits
If you can get the 325 exhaust system it is a larger internal bore than the 320 system, it's the same on all E30 body style's and you will need a new clamp for the back of the gearbox The 320 and 325 systems are the same, except like Brian said the diameter of the tail pipes on the 320 which are sm...

Re: 325 Running rich when cold!
The modification is the opposite of the infamous ebay 'power resistor', and fools the ECU into thinking the engine is warmer than it really is. Yeah understand that so if 4.5 ohms doesnt work where do you go from there? Up or down? Sounds like leaking injectors if its only doing it at initial start...

Re: 325 Running rich when cold!
Yeah ok, didnt think of that.
Just thinking about it logically even if the temp sender wasnt working and the ecu was putting fuel in surely it wouldnt over fuel on a really cold day because the engine would need the fuel and would run correctly!

325 Running rich when cold!
My 325 runs rich when cold, you can smell the fuel and it hesitates on acceleration until you can rev the thing up and clear the cylinders. It only does this on initial start up and when it hot its fine. But it never used to do this until the last few 6 or so months it’s had a new blue temp sender b...

And its not as if everyone goes " oh WOW you’ve got German style plates"
Stick with the legal UK ones!

Tobe honest if you go for the more expensive ones, theres usally a few options! they are made by Febi Bilstein and so on some of the same companies that supply BMW!
I had two for the front of my 325, i forget the make now but they were in the same sort of comparison to the OEM with regards to quality

Re: correct way to install a centre prop bearing to the car
not sounding dumb here but would a centre bearing give a knock when on accleration or deaccleration Had a touring that used to do that, when i had a look the bearing and the carrier were ok but the bearing had come away from the rubber in the braket which caused the prop to bang, sometimes on the u...

do original bmw balljoints fit in ECP cheaper arms? BMW dont make balljoints for the standard E30 arms! you can only get them aftermarket which is strange as BMW makes then for the E36 for some reason the E30 ones where never designed to be changed! and the after maket ball joints from GSF ECP and ...

Re: Coolant in Passenger footwell. Should I go the whole hog
Is it worth looking at fitting aircon at this point? I thought about this with my LHD 325 when i was in germany as the parts for it where all over the place and at a good price. The reason id didnt was because if its on the old system,R12 it cant be topped up and it cant be topped up with R134A as ...

Im not sure what the answer is to that problem! Ive had the same problem on a touring a few years back and i think from the guys that have tried it on the zone there is no real quick effective fix apart from a new lining what i did was to get some spray glue put very smal holes on the edges of the l...
