and my god is it awesome!

it was in need of a paint - but i decided to vynil it instead in dy/noc stuff, looks good - not an oem look i know but i like it, and it saved my painting it!

right so my car 318is m42 1990 has decided to not start, it has power, it wont turn over with the key but it starts fine fro the starter with a screw driver - rough i know! so im guessing starter relay? who know where and what one it is, almost all of my relays click when they key is turned! it work...

i did it all myself, from rebulding the engine right up to spraying it, Greame Morrison at retro restorations kindly offered the use of his body shop and he provided all of the materials also. the only think i left to the professional's was the vynil - Roo'd signs did them all for me and needless to...

cheers guys, TBH the headlights are second hand - they had been tinted already, i was going to strip them back but i didnt have time before i MOT'd it, and now they have grown on me, so they will be staying! as for more pics - you will find them on my flickr page throught the picture links!

on the subject of auto socks - 2 of my mates ran them on thier exige's (thats right exige!!) last year through our shocking scottish winter and they were great!

you should be able to get it from your local trade/motor factor or if you have a local body shop they would be able to order it in for you i would imagine

aye you can get white, gray or black - im not sure waht other colours are available but those are the three that i have used in the past. also you can get shultz with waxoil added too - its supposed to be the dog's never dries out/hardens etc so you allways have a protective layer

i used a panel beating hammer and a block - thats how it used to get done back in the day.... but you MUST must must protect the paint if any gets cracked, chipped etc, paint then pack with sealer/waxoil/schutz etc..

i have 225/50/15 - et35 compomotive ml's with falken ze912's and a 10mm spacer (making it up to et25) for those 16's you are going to have to machine a bit off the inside to take them to a 25 or so, do your measurements right and they will be great on the back! mine is lowered 60 mm, see below - no ...

i had 205/40/17's on my is, lowered more than 60, et 35 offset, there was no rub front or rear, you should be fine, im now on 225/50/15 on the rear (et 25) and 205/50/15 on the front, no scubbing either, delighted, it looks so low and fat! i rolled my arches before the respray too, but i ran the 17'...

haha, dont worry dont worry! its going to be racing at every opportunity, next year i will be entering in the scottish sprint and hillclimb championship. so it will be put to proper use! its been alot of work, but god damn its been rewarding to know that the car i have owned for 5 years and stipped ...

dont quote me on this... however,

you should be ok as long as the clutch is in....could be totally wrong tho - i know its not a good idea to do this on a fiat panda 4x4.. lol
