So i was driving along the other day in my '86 M535 and thought to myself how long it was since i had an issue i needed to post on here. 30 mins later, i pulled away from traffic lights and second gear was no longer there! There is no mechanical noise and all the other gears work fine, but your cant...

hi chaps,
its winter in australia at the moment and it would be ever so nice if my heater were to work.
my e28 m535's heater OCASSIONALLY works if it is set to demist the windscreen, but never works if any of the lower vents are open. have you lads got any ideas? are these common symptoms?

looking at buying an m535
im in australia and drove a nice old m535 today, silver, '86. i just need to know if there are adjustable tappets in this engine or shims? also, a single tick on each revolution of the engine, would that be tappets? the engine is strong, pulling all the way through the rev range, with a healthy note...

does anybody know where in the world i can source a non genuine window seal for an '85 635? it is the rubber running along the bottom of the front driver side window between the outside of the door and glass (to stop water running down in the door. we got quoted $600Aud for a geniune one. any ideas?

so 13cm all round? yeah, not really into fully modding the sound system, the head unit i have has plenty of go but the speakers cant take it. thinking some newer ones will go better, just dont want to go overboard...

lol thats the problem mate, got no access to a multimeter or tester of any sort. Where do the wires lead to from the connection to the unit?

checked the wires under the unit, they r plugged in and fine, swapped fuses with a new 1 and still doesnt work.

was watching wheeler dealers and they fitted the pod filter to the 325 touring. apparently it increases airflow by 50%. are they any good? do they help? any sacrifice to engine health?

man what an awesome response, keep them coming guys! its really interesting hearing all this! i would love a mini but they r hardly 1st car money in aus. i dont think i would part with the e30 now, back from mechanic with centralized steering and new exauhst manifold gaskit.

never happened to me or ne1 that i know of, but surely some nifty work with the welder can get her up and running! seems like such a little thin to cause such a big problem. is the lump ok other than this?
