...btw while I'm here, one thought that did occur to me... what's involved increasing the engine capacity to 2.0 or more? Since you've still got to rebuild the engine. Plus, the cost of all the 320iS major components will be around Ԛ£1,500 to Ԛ£2,000 if I recall correctly! Then there's fit...

yeah... I checked this conversion out with Wayne last year. You will need 320iS: . engine plus associated electronic control components . gearbox . prop shaft . diff There's also another issue. Because the 318iS is RHD and the engine comes from a LHD car the exhaust manifold may interfere with the s...

... it maybe worthwhile getting everything you can. Including propshaft and diff plus all the running gear. The e30 318iS was equiped with motorsport suspension as standard. Exhaust shoudn't be too bad. Just check it's not had a cat fitted. Providing its a pre-92 e30 318iS shouldn't be too much of a...

318iS Exhaust system standard or loud n proud?
Hi Guys,
The back box needs replacing. Should I stay with the BMW original item or move to an after market one? If so which is the best? Don't want anything too loud.
Cheers.

Thanks to everyone on this post. I for one have learnt a great deal here. I will never again use washing up liquid, a spong or a shamy! BTW, re-bird poo stains. I used a body colured wax polish plus a body coloured wax crayon. The results are extremely good. The wax crayon does a great job of hiding...

Hi Guys, Well I've got a 318iS at the moment . But not too long ago I - very foolishly - sold a 325 se 2 dr rightness - of course. As much as I like the 318iS the 6 cylinder 325 was just a complete hoot. So in my view go for the 325 even though the 318iS is a bit more rare. That's not to say that th...

318iS upgrade to 320iS
Anyone have any experience of doing this? Not to keen on LHD. So upgrading the engine in the 318iS to a 320iS seems the way to go.

We've currently got a 318iS in Lazer Blue and a 325 auto cab. And last year I sold, very stupidly, a very nice 325i 2dr manual... of course. Now although the 318iS is great car I still prefer the 325i. Not quite so good in corners I know. But the extra horses does it for me. And the sound of the 6 c...
