All it is is that a friend of mine has bought an m3 e30 rally car and it don't look lime the banks is working so we were gonna set it at advanced then run a dta or megasquirt system thought that would be the easiest route will it loose hp by fixing the vanos like that

Do u know anyone that has done this and does it make a bIg improvement

Hi I've heard that a vanos unit on the 3.0 litre m3 can be set so that it permanently has an aggressive cam if anyone has heard or know someone that knows how to do it if you could get in touch would be a great help thanks

This is the prob I can't talk that much about a e36 e30 maybe lol can I be cheeky and ask if someone could put a link in there for my for sale post

Think.I've Sussed the banging think.the centre bearing nackered does the e30 centre bearing.go straight on the e36 prob it says on fitting guide to reverse it or.summit

Sound it is a smige long at 20 mm lads brakes binding ever so slightly but they work mint never had brakes like it lol just couple of teething probs I've used e36 prop and box but there is a banging comin from the prop when I boot it I think the donut on the gearbox is catching the gear Linkage rod ...

And just to check use 8mm bar for spacer yea

Hi all I've ended up buyin a 325 e36 as a donar for my e30 and the head gaskit has gone on the m50 so I'm gonna go sick now I've found a 3.2 evo bottom end and was gonna stick the 2.5 head on it give it a full rebuild and a custom inlet job but I've been told that the non vanos head has bigger valve...

Well that's a blessin in disguise that's the one thing I was worried about I fitted a m52 in a compact last year an it all plugged straight in so deffo goin m50 lol so I can use e34 rubber mounts mk2 golf master sylinder or is itservo and e34 sump and pick up

So can go of the 328 fitting guide yeah

As the m50 conversion thread is slot harder to flick through than the m52 thread can someone please write us a short list of parts and nesesary mods thsnkyou kindly
