Aerials...
Hi
I'm thinking of fitting one of those 'windscreen aerials' -basically a wire that goes round the windscreen rubber... I will fill in the rusty old aerial hole when I'm done.
Has anyone here done this? and is the reception any good?
Thanks

Rear seat bench...
Ok Ive fitted a full set of leather from a (post facelift) 325 sport in my '83 323 but theres one problem... The rear bench on my car has two large brackets that bolt it onto the shell of the car, however the sport bench is not held on this way. I assume there are two hidden clips as the female part...

Re: Does rain affect fresh cavity wax?
Waxoyl is available from halfords, either as an aerosol spray or, if youre doing the whole car a big 5ltr pump spray.
Also it stinks if you use it inside...

Re: Does rain affect fresh cavity wax?
Hi
I waxoyled my car about three weeks ago, when I sprayed it in it was roughly the colour of beer and three weeks later it has set to an opaque white wax colour (looks a bit like vaseline) and it has had no contact with water at all. I guess many of these products are the same so I expect its ok.

Thanks for that, I was expecting a removable cartridridge or something like that but there you go. Looks like this bit is quite pricey from the dealers so i'll be going to GSF...
Thanks again

Front Wheel Bearing?
Hi My 323 has just begun to develop a grinding noise from the drivers side front wheel on tight left hand turns (at speed). I'm assuming that this is the start of wheel bearing failure... I cant seem to find the bearing part no. on realOEM, does anyone know what they cost and how easy it is to chang...

Rear Brake Lines
Hi
Last weekend I tried to fit a set of braided brake hoses, did OK but only got 4 of the 6 on as two of the four rear ones are well hidden under the rear crossmember.
Does anyone have any tips for doing this or do I need some sort of special tool??
Cheers
Rob.

Re:
Best way to check injectors is to place one end a long screwdriver on top of injector and your ear to the other with the car running, you should be able to hear the injector tick. If not theres your problem. Unless it is blocked in which case it will still click as the solenoid will actuate without...

Hi I got carried away in halfords and bought a set of Xenon bulbs as E30's have painfully dim lights. The problem is that I can only change one of the bulbs as the others are all Hella sealed units... GSF do some reasonably priced replacements but does anybody know if they are sealed or not? Also do...

Hi
I saw in a BMW magazine recently that EuroCarParts stocks the boysen exhaust but cant seem to find it on their website.
Has anyone used this and it it suitable for an early 323i?
Thanks in advance...

Re:
Hey Chrome 323i's rule!!!
and I'd be really interested in a motronic conversion as my 1983 323i is a bit on the juicy side. I think I can guess how it was done though...
One thing you will find with the 323 M20 (particularly early ones) is that it really needs 98/99 octane if you want to push it.

My 323i has developed a little squeak (imagine a fan belt slipping) whenever I feed the clutch in in first and seccond gear, usually from a standing start.
Any Ideas?
