Re: Cab horseshoe cables..

Hi guys,

Has anyone had any dealings with Bill and Jason in the E30 center of late? I've tried both numbers but no answer.

Thanks Brian,

I have a feeling that the alternator is playing up, Im going to ask my auto electrician to troubleshoot it and take it from there then.

Wipers / Windscreen washers not working + Warning lights

Hi All, A few months back someone attempted to steal my cab. In the process, the ignition switch was damaged. The ignition switch was repaired and steering column plastics were replaced also. So the next step was roof replacement. I started the car and found two new faults. 1. Wipers and windscreen ...

Re: Cab horseshoe cables..

Just called Bill and had a quick chat with him. They're still in the same place and he says he has no intention of going anywhere else. Its good to know that they're still going. Like you said Gert, as a fall back. I've had a look at some threads here and I might just make sure my roof is folding ri...

Re: Cab horseshoe cables..

Now that cab weather has come along, my lid is still rattling when I've the roof lowered.

I checked the lid (horseshoe) and it looks like it could be better locked by the 2 claws on either side..

Thanks Pete, I thought the cable on the right in the pic looked loose. Any pics I've seen seem to show cables that are tighter.

Hi All, The Horseshoe on my cab isnt closing fully. I think the roof is folding flat but on inspection, Ive noticed that the cables appear stretched. No sign of it on Real OEM, it looks like it broke due to the L-Shaped mechanism (that the shock strut attaches to) wasn't lubricated at the joints. I'll post up a pic later.

Bracket got damaged, the mechanism became stiff and I'd say someone who wasnt familiar with closing the bonnet didnt close it too gently. Best thing to do might be to take a pic and post it.

Bonnet support Mechanism.

Hi All. Im having some trouble with the mechanism that keeps bonnet in the raised position. The bonnet releases and opens ok. My problem is with the mechanism itself. Hi SS Bob,

Lovely cab, i saw this for sale and if I hadn't bought one already i'd have snapped this one up. I have a similar car, black 1992 325i auto, only mine has a beige leather interior.

Best of luck with her and hopefully we might get this indian summer they're always banging on about.

best of luck with the motor, I hope the weather is being kinder to you than it is to this cab owner :)

If I recall correctly, they're about ┚¬40 from your local friendly BMW dealer, the thing is you have to supply the last 7 digits of your chassis no and they order it in. (I think) The same happened mine, got home took the key out and the engine stayed running. I had to deliberately stall it to sh...

Steve CRX, just saw your post about the road tax, The green movement here are increasing it by about 10% so it'd be up around the ┚¬900 for 12 months for a 325i. I only tax mine for 6 months, ie the summer months, about ┚¬500. That figure is for cars already on Irish plates. The thing is from ...
