Thanks for prompt reply Brian.
Tbh I had a pull at one of these clips and it snapped.

Problem Fixed

Meant to update this sooner:-
A couple of weeks later (after the car hadnt been used much) the problem has fixed itself.
I can only think that it was some sort of airlock/bubbles in the system.

I had very similar probs to this . They started soon after I changed the clutch master and slave cylinders. I couldnt get the gears and wasnt sure if it was a clutch or gearbox prob. Re-bled the system and it seems to have sorted itself out. I think (and hope) it was maybe just some bubbles in the s...

Re: PROBLEMS SELECTING GEARS

Thanks, Just had a mate check the clutch over. Have re-bled the clutch and pedal feels better slightly better, although it was ok before. I used a quality febi slave and it seems to be mounted properly. Could there be any other reason the slave is not working sometimes? Could this be a faulty new pa...

PROBLEMS SELECTING GEARS

My 325 manual (155k)has suddenly started having problems with the gears. The gearbox has always been loose but has always been smooth and gears have always slid in nicely(apart from the usual first couple of changes on a cold morning).During a long journey they started playing up on up and down chan...

Squeeky Heater Fan

The heater fan(blower) on my 325 has an intermittent squeeking noise. I have noticed the following:- The fan is working on all speeds. It mainly squeeks on position 1 but occasionly on other positions. It seems to do it more on really cold days. Gets worse or starts when accelerating away on bends. ...

Thanks Brian Yes I actually unscrewed the nipple and it had no fluid on it at all. Not sure whether to replace slave cylinder or just leave it for a bit as it is okay although slightly heavy. If I remove old slave will all the crap come out or will any sludge in the line then go into new slave and c...

MOT is due in a couple of weeks!!!
Rear fogs work fine also tell-tale lamp.
Front fogs are fitted but not working-I think its a prob with the relay.
Because they are fitted , will front fogs be tested in MOT?

CENTRAL LOCKING

Cental locking works well on 3 doors and tailgate but not on rear right hand door(88 touring). This door can either be locked / unlocked on the button but button will remain in that position.
Is this going to be the solenoid in that one door or could it be something else?
Thanks Steve
