Re: Pedal boxes

The cars track/race only so no worries about car parks etc. I think if I modify the steering etc too much I could fall foul of a few regs and make myself ineligible for anything I would be competitive in. The set up I have seen have the M/C towards the driver under an ali foot plate so I don't think...

Going to resurrect this post as I'm in the process of junking the servo and want to fit a Pedal box. A few questions to throw up.....feel free to flame as required! Floor or Bulkhead? floor means I can put the seat further back but anything I should look out for? Optimum balance products. anyone use...

Re: Removal of ABS unit

I've done it but I've also used a larger M/C. Saves a fair bit of weight.

I've got some photos somewhere.

I will probably be fitting a pedal box in the near future so my larger M/C will be up for grabs.

I used a bit of rubber hose and a pipe clip (not allowed to refer to it as a Jubilee!) up to a spare clutch fluid resevoir. I've got small hands but it's a bugger with the gearbox in place. When my other box goes in I'll make a proper job but its stayed in place so far.

well since nobody seemed to know anything I got hold of John Wilcocks one of the guys who organises the TTRS series ( who has raced both 325s and M3s E30s )and he told me that the clutch would be made by a company Helix- based in Banbury. Sure enough it was and the paddle type clutch plate alone is...

Multiple ITB's are out but carbs are ok. Wasn't too fussed on the weight saving aspect (but anything is a bonus) as long as there is a power gain.

I should be picking up a set of 45's this month

Just out of interest do you think a carb set up would have any weight advantage over the exsisting manifold/tb/airfilter set up?

No thats a 325. Got an M3 looking front bumper. Couldn't tell you what the cage weighs but I'm sure you could find out from somewhere. Just the one seat. Not the lightest in the world but light seats cost big bucks. http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=100971&postdays=0&po...

Re: Fuel Cell for spare wheel

If its the ATL fuel saver you'll need to factor in how your going to fit it. Are you getting the Aluminium tin as well? I've fitted one in mine and it required a fair bit of effing around. I reckon you'll need a swirl pot as well as the baffle only does so much. Nigel at CDH does them quite reasonab...

I'd be interested in what you come up with Uwe. Looking to run a set of 45's or ITB's at some point so will need to lose the servo. Using Wilwood calipers at the moment but they are suited to the exsisting M/C set up. I'm using a slightly larger 25mm one but they work just fine. I'd like to run sepa...

Pays your money and takes your choice. Mines a bog standard kill switch which is enough for "scrote-an-earing". No fancy diode just a resistor to dump the load in.

Are you keeping the key ignition or just a switch/button affair?

What offset are your wheels? If you've got coilovers they will rub on them and you'll need spacers.

Mine only just clear the bottom of the adjusters with some ground control topmounts and thats with 205's. Fag paper stuff when you allow for side flex!
