Re: 325i what is the average mpg if driving sensibly?

I average just about 20mpg, but when it is cold the mpg drop maybe due to the higher idle speeds?!? Its not hard to get over 20 mpg in 325i but i have never got close to 30mpg. The best way to get good consistent mileage is the cruise control.

Re: Wet Weather driving

I love driving me E30 in the rain. You just need to learn the throttle and when to apply it and it won't jump out on you. My daily driver tires are completely worn and the car is semi-dangerous in the rain, but it sure is fun to get the tail out at only 2,000rpm around u-turns. The M20 has plenty to...

Re:

Thats strange. In america it is different. You can get a nice e30 for cheaper than an e36. But good luck with the BMW track car. I think campaigning a BMW is always going to be more expensive than other Makes.

Re:

I tell you with some simple suspension mods(shocks and springs)+ tire upgrades the e30 with routine maintenance is a lot of fun. It is like all older equipment, it is more mechanical. Combine this with the less weight and you have a very responsive entertaining ride. In short course with a lot of di...

Well autocrossing is technically known as Solo II. Solo II is operated by the Sports Car Club of America a.k.a. SCCA. The SCCA establish regions (southwest, southeast etc) and within these regions chapters are formed. For example in Louisiana we have RRR, Delta and Cenla regions. You race within you...

Re: Introduction

Something cool about my E30 too is that she is a European Pickup. The priest was in school in Europe for a long time so he drove it all around Europe and decided to bring it to the states. This little car has been all over the world. Unfortunately, I must subject this car to some terrible roads now....
