Nice 1989 320i on Autotrader
This looks a really good buy.If it was closer to me I'd have bought it. Condition and provenance look spot on even if the spec isn't the most inspiring. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202008283020145?fromSavedAds=true&advertising-location=at_cars&modal=photos Edit-having read the MOT histo...

Re: 1991 325i SE 4dr
That last bid was probably from a bidding bot software,on the very last second. I had had a bid up to 7500,thought I might bag a bargain and be able to reacquaint the car with a few drives to Southport. I'd have been miffed if I'd been the next highest bidder when it finished.

Yeah the 15" BBS always look the business. Shocked at the prices asked for centre caps, I'm sure I bought some from Cotswold BMW for about 40 quid each about 3 years ago.

Great photos. I probably would get a set of 14" BBS if I can find a nice set. Will definitely post some photos.

1990 316i-what wheels?
Hi,been a member a long time but rarely post. I'm picking up a nice 316i auto tomorrow. It's absolutely bog standard, been garaged every night for over 20 years by a fastidious owner. I know its going to be sedate to say the least but I'm not buying it to rag around. I've owned 6 E30s over the years ...

Cheers for all the positive comments. There's stacks of history with the car but no real documentation about the respray or retrim of the front seats etc. So if anyone can shed any light i'd be really interested to find out who spent so much time and effort getting it so sorted.

No I had the number plates and tax disc holder made up by Pukar Design. The supplying dealer was a place called Harringtons in Horsham but he wasn't able to find their details to make up replica plates. There is some history from L&C so i decided to get those.

Re: M20 Cambelt change cost-sound about right?
Really? It's hard finding a good reputable garage to do the work locally. There's a big independent BMW specialist close to me but to be honest the car is older than the guys working in there so i'm not convinced they are entirely happy working on it. I have booked with the guy in Southport and to be ...

Hi, I recently bought a very nice F plate 320i from another member of the zone. The car really is pretty much spot on.Going through the history, the cambelt was last changed 10 years ago but the car has only done another 4k miles since. I'm getting it changed and being based in St.Helens I contacted L...

Hiya,i used National Alloys in Widnes to refurbish a set of BBS alloys on a 320i Convertible I had around four years ago.The alloys were were in a poor state when I left the car and I have to say they did a really great job. This photo probably not the best to demonstrate but it really was a top job ...

Mad bidding for Sport kitted 318is on Ebay.
I have been watching this 318is all week as I'd love another having owned a couple in the past.Although it's obvious values are rising for good E30s,i'm a bit bemused at the strength of the bidding on what looks a fairly average car. The scuttle panel looks completely gone, arches look a bit suspect ...

Here's a couple more I've owned more recently. Green 320i was a bit tatty, sold to a South African guy who exported it home.318is was gorgeous,320i Convertible equally so. I later spotted it on the trader for 3 times what I'd sold it for. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa39/noj66/11042010035.jpg ...

My old 325i Sport-gone but not forgotten-anyone know of it?
I found some old snaps of my old 325i Sport which I owned for about a year in 1997.It was a lucky find in a small used car dealer in Bolton. It had been traded for a new Saab and when I got it home I found a full main dealer warranty pack in the glovebox.Seemingly the previous owner had only bought i...

Two years laid up-to do list?Any advice gratefully received
Hi, left a deposit this morning on a 1992 E30 320 Convertible, which has only covered 78000 miles. The car has a fresh M.O.T. with a couple of advisories(corroded fuel lines being one). The test drive was spot on,much smoother than the 140000 mile one i ran last summer.Brakes, clutch etc. seemed fine. ...

Hiya,i've recently bought a very nice lagoon green with beige leather cabby. The top edge of the rear bench is shrunken(years of sun exposure?)back and the seams are split.Has anyone sucessfully repaired anything similar or is it a case of search for a new rear bench?(hens teeth!).

I recently bought a 1991 320i Convertible that's in generally fine fettle. One thing is the clutch pedal sits high, maybe 2-3" higher than the other pedals. The previous owner had recently had new master and slave cylinder fitted and said the car had returned like that. I took it to a local BMW special...

Thanks B7,sounds like the costlier option but if all else fails!I've bought it as a second car to tinker with, hopefully get the roof down occasionally.Diff whines a bit, hoping an oil change may improve it.
