does it smell like fuel from the petrol station??? (ei - unburnt petrol??)

if it doesnt then i think your car is running lean (not enoughfuel in the air flow mix) and its possible that your lambda sensor/temp sensor is naff

munky, thats the same company i found :cool: awesome work on the cars :D HairyScreech, i belive that when the wheels are made they are balanced by spinning them at high RPM to make sure they are safe, not buckled/straight and the important part that they dont fall to bits when they are being used on...

wheels which are cut open and have a band of steel elded in so you can make them any width you want. although technically they are illegal, i'm not sure how you would spot that they were banded wheels unless you took them apart (if theyre dont properly) i assume the metal being put in is as strong ...

if its top end it must be the tappets...you say you have done a recent oil change, have you used oil that is too thick/thin for the engine?

also why did you adjust the tappets? were they making noise before?

im getting a 325 (well trying to, 'rents are against getting another car) and i just turned 19 :D...TBH from what people have said on here the 320 isnt bad, but its not really that good either, it goes like a 318 and it drinks like a 325...so your best bet is 318 for insurance purposes or a 325 for ...

the story doesnt end there my friend, then its off to the body shop for new inner+outer arches on the rear, plus the petrol filler neck needs attention. i have spent allot of money on this 320/325. all the parts the bloke will be useing for the engine rebuild will be genuine bmw parts. oh well, the...

my aunt drove her vw sharan with no MOT for about 7 months lmao she forgot that it ran out, when she booked it in (thinking that the mot is almost out, when its been out for ages), the tester pointed out to her that her mot was finished almost 7 months ago LOL in my opinion, extremly lucky

have you tried to see if the dizzy/rotor arm works??? if not rotor then test the coil, im sure someone nice will help out (they always do)

i think its pretty dumb (nothing personal) to drive with no tax...i think you can get the car taxed with the green slip, and if you have proper insurance and not 1 day then you can deffo get it taxed...dont risk it, it will only be you out of pocket if you do

My touring has been used to transport 3 engines so far. When I had the m20 in the back and a 1.6 m40 up front it struggled a bit but I managed to persuade a random pisshead that the one in the back was hoked up and it was twin engined and 4x4... so it was worth it.
