Re: new cabby top.

cheers for the link. i emailed a place in south london. they want 495 fitted. its probably worth getting it done by a professional like these. if it is 150 roughly to have it fitted, i may as well go to work, earn the money, and at least it will be stress free.

well, i ordered a new top from the listing on ebay.com. the american site. i have been told they cant send it to me from england. they can only send direct to the states. if i want one sent, it will be an extra 130 quid. why is it half as much again for us. am i missing something here. :?

when i was doing the cylinder head on the car, i had to push the car over a little bit on the drive so i could get my van on too. one of the helpers was pushing it on the canvass and it has split. not too bad, but the water is now getting in. how easy is it to change the top yourself. have any of yo...

it took me 9 months to sort mine out. i hope for your pockets sake that it all goes sweet. before i bought my car, the lady had the head gasket done because the rad blew. her mechanic fitted a new rad and did the gasket. the head was probably cracked way back then. luckily, i only give 850 for it.

Re: classic car insurance.

Oh, and your calculation's a bit off - £240 at 4000 miles is 6p per mile! the new insurance quote offered 4000 miles to me as a max. last year, i only drove around 700 miles. i didnt need the 4000 miles. trouble is, if i reduced it to say 2000 miles a year, then you can bet your last pound you woul...
